"Everything was completed in this remodel. Not sure how we took money considering we had to come out of pocket $30,000 to front all the material for the job to wait for 120 days to have reimbursement from the bank of his choose. Would never work for this client again. Constantly changed project from start to finish. Would not release .one after job was completed. Had to file a lein on the property in order to get compensation from the back. Homeowners were very happy at final walkthrough. Never been contacted about any issues they may have had."
On the screen room however, he let a sub-contractor do the work. The sub made sugesstions that made the room better in most cases. Instead of the requested vinyl covering he insisted on bent aluminum. This looked very good and actually gave the room more coverage than requested. Eric would come to the site to fix issues like the electrical connections.
Approximately 10 months after completion the aluminum covering on four posts began to erode. After telling me the materials were purchased from The Building Center in Rock Hill, I visited them in person but they refused to take responsibility. Eric stated many times he would fix the issues but he said the sub-contractor would have to make the repairs. It has been about six months now and there has been no word from either of them about scheduling repairs and no one has been on site to see the problems. The sub lives about 70 miles away. The erosions are now severe with sharp edges even keeping the door from fitting properly.
So our recommendation for this company is superior if Eric is self performing. But we do not recommend them if his sub-contractor is in charge of the job.
"Homeowners were very argumentative. Everything that they chose for there bathroom they changed after it was installed. Once the cost factor was mention about uninstalling and reinstalling products in there bathroom he became hostel and requested that I finish the remodel alone. We fully remodeled the bathroom to there liking. Once the bathroom was 7/8 done the conversation took place about the change orders about the extra work that was done at there home. He ask that he get someone else to finish. Touch up paint and one sink drain line was all that was left to complete the job. We had to wait an extra 4 weeks to hook the plumbing up due to there granite contractor cut the granite wrong. They stated that the job was $6000 dollar remodel. We were only paid $4,245. This basically covered the material for the remodel. The entire remodel went great from both sides until it became time to pay for the job. I accepted $0 money up front and was basically taken advantage of threw out the entire job from start to finish. We went above and beyond to make this family happy. We even paid a cleaner to clean the entire house after the remodel was completed as far as we could until the vanity arrived. My staff as well as myself was continually insulted by Mr. Dewitt's rude humor. Some jobs you wish you would not have taken. Thanks for reading!"
