Called the main number and talked to Joe Farr who looked up the part number for sensor and board and gave me the worse case estimate of cost for my model number. Made appointment and Jake was the Tech who arrived on time and diagnosed that the sensor was the problem and did not need a board replacement. Jake ordered the sensor from GE and returned at my requested day and time with the part. He changed the part and tested the oven temperature to validate the fix. The cost was very reasonable. That would be enough for most service but Jake explained how the temperature worked and for even baking of some items it's best to let the oven pre-heat a little longer for the sensor to settle at the required temperature. Also, we have a Samsung front load Washer and Dryer which he gave some really good input on keeping them from mold and soap build up. Asked about my Bosch Dish Washer and gave me some tips on that. Jake was extremely knowledgeable, professional and helpful. I have found the source for all my future appliance service.

Mr.  Joe replaced ice maker module.  The old one was dated 2003 and it just died on me.  The new one has a one year warranty. Installation was quick and simple.  Mr. Joe explained how long it would take for ice to start making.  I feel like I really made an excellent choice with selecting Appliance Parts & Service Of the Carolinas. Mr. Joe was very professional, polite and courteous.

The technican arrived on time and was very professional. Our dishwasher was new, only 2 years old. A bottle of Dial liquid hand soap had spilled under the kitchen sink, soaking the woven stainless steel cover on the new water supply line running from the hot water line under the sink to the dishwasher. The technician easily replaced with hose with an identical product and the entire job took only about 30 minutes. The technician was polite and pleasant. This is a small family company, they like to know their customers, and he was easy to chat with. The firm is located in Lake Wylie so they had done work for my neighbors in Sun City and I would certainly recommend them.

I called first to see if they worked on Samsung products which they did. I told the lady of what we had already done following our troubleshooting guide in our manual. I gave her my model # so she would be able to make sure that if we did need a thermostat or heating element she could make sure she had the right part already. I called on a Thursday and was able to get an appointment that Saturday. She told me their hours were 9-12 and that they had an appointment already scheduled in the morning so it would be more leaning towards 12. I was fine with that. She also told me the technician Jake would call me when he was in route to my home. Saturday comes and it is around 10:30 am and I get my phone call from Jake telling me that he is about 30 minutes away, he also asks to make sure that it is still okay that he comes which oh course I say yes. Jake gets to my house and I take him to the dryer, I let him know what we have done already and as I am talking he is checking the dryer out himself. We have our washer/dryer stacked so he had to slide it out a little. He started to proceed to take apart the dryer and as I am watching and blown away that you practically have to take it apart to get to the heating element he was very patient and informative because I yes was asking a lot of questions and watching what he was doing. He showed me the heating element that the spring had broken apart causing no current to heat. He went to his truck got the part and proceeded to put back in and then he put the dryer back together. He pushed back my stackable and I would say within a 1hr 15min he was out of there. It was a very pleasant experience and we will definitely use them again. They are reasonably priced too.

We started using APS in our rental home last year to fix our garbage disposal and an issue with our dishwasher. We were thoroughly pleased so once they fixed our washer, I felt compelled to finally sing their praises.

APS is a quality service company for the entire process. The woman on the phone is very pleasant and helpful. All of their techs are kind, professional and knowledgable. They do not charge a service charge if they do not fix your problem. This happened with our washer as we needed to order a part from GE. They even came a few days for Christmas and temporarily solved our problem until the part came in and didn't charge us for that day. Since it was an older model we had to wait about a month for the part to come in and I did have to follow up with APS. It took all of 5 minutes for the tech to install the new part, they are fantastic.

I definitely recommend APS to anyone

Repair was prompt and efficient. Jake Farr quickly found the failure, ordered the parts, retuned in two days to correct. The service charge was only $49 and good for all calls for 30 days vs. factory reps @ ~ $100/visit. The charge for parts were consistent with the market; performance and experience was top shelf; I will use APS again as the need arises.

They are wonderful. They are more than reasonable and knowledgeable. I will use them again. I have recommended them to my investor group. Jake helped me out there. I believe they are a family business. They are very responsive. Joe is the owner and Jake was his son. Jake was young but very, very knowledgeable. They knew exactly what was wrong and was able to get the parts I needed. They did not charge me to come back the second time with the part.

Our washer would not finish the spin cycle, so I disassembled the washer (it took about 15 min.) to troubleshoot the problem. The coupler and clutch both looked tick tock; so I decided to call someone to come out and take a better look at it. I left a message with Joe on Monday afternoon, and his wife called me back on Tuesday afternoon. She said that the problem was probably the switch and that a new switch would cost $40, the service call would be $30, and the labor would be $40. She also said that Joe would come by around 2:00 PM on Wednesday. I got a call at 8:00 AM on Wednesday and Joe said that he was ready to come by. I told him to go on because my wife was at home. So my wife answers the door with our sleeping 3 month old in her arms, and Joe comes bursting in with a loud voice and poor attitude, waking up the baby in process. He starts cursing and saying how upset he is that the washer is disassembled. He demands $50 extra in labor to reassemble the washer (which for him would only take 5 min.). My wife hesitantly agrees, but he continues with the temper as he lifts the washer off the ground and roughly bangs it against the wall. To make a long story short, I get a call from my wife in tears saying how she was mistreated and how she had to kick him out of the house.

We called and told them that we found them on Angie’s List. They were very quick to come out. They evaluated our dishwasher. They told us that we would probably be better off getting a new dishwasher because the parts for it would have costed more than a new dishwasher. So we ended up going out and buying a new dishwasher and then we decided to buy a range at the same time. We called him and asked if he could install the range. He said he could and so he installed both the range and the dishwasher. We will use this company in the future.

Everything went really well. He had an illness on his staff that prevented them from making their initial appointment; however, I do not hold that against him. Instead, I credit him with the energy he used to make it right. He went out of his way to help me without sending a sick person to my home. He followed up to reschedule and made the repair very quickly. I was very happy with their service.

This is the second time I've used Joe. He was recommended by my parents. He put an oven control on for me the first time. It was a part that another company had ordered and had shipped to me, but never returned to install it. Joe did it for me, and just charged me a trip charge. So when my ice maker went on the fritz, I didn't hesitate to call APS. The lady was very polite in making my appointment and I had service as early as the next day. Joe called ahead and was right on time. He was very knowledgeable about his craft and very prompt in repairing the unit. He had the unit repaired in about 15 minutes. I will definitely use Joe again for all of my major appliance repairs.

They didn't have our model (excel) in stock and had to order it. In 2 days, they called us to schedule the appt. They were able to get us in 2 days. The worker (don't remember his name) was polite, on time, and very professional. He replaced the unit b/c the motor was defective. While he was there, he found a plumbing problem. Another company installed the sink, faucet, and disposal the previous week for us. After some phone calls, they fixed the other company's error for no charge. He was very nice, quiet (it was my son's nap time), and knowledgeable. We were not charged a fee b/c the garbage disposal was under warranty.

I HAD AN UNUSAUL MODEL, HE CAME BY THE EVALUATE THE PROBLME WITHOUT CHARGE. HE HAD TO DO EXTRA CHECKING TO ORDER THE CORRECT PARTS, DID SO AND WAS ABLE TO COMPLETE THE REPAIR PROMPTLY. BASED ON OTHER QUOTES, I BELIEVE HIS PRICING WAS VERY FAIR.
