Van's Tree Service

Tall pine tree had many older broken branches and other long low hanging branches. Van Atkins made a point to get my job done before I had to leave to return to my gone in DE. Great team of tree trimmers also.

Two nice guys cut the limb off the oak tree and a dead tree that was hanging over, and that's all he did. They left before finishing saying that they had an emergency. He never called me, I never heard back from them.

It was perfect. Yes, I would use them again.

Van is a good guy, and he did great work. His quote was competitive with other quotes I got, and he honored the Angies list coupon he has advertised here (15% off, as of right now), which made the price very good. He removed two large trees from my property, and did a good job. He and his crew worked quickly, and cleaned up after themselves. Id definitely work with him again.

We've used Van's Tree Service 2 or 3 times over the years for removal of multiple trees--often those that were too close to the house or power lines.  They've always done a good job and cleaned up the yard admirably afterwards, including grinding stumps left in the yard and using their huge chipper to grind up and carry away all the trees removed.  The owner is usually the one to price the jobs and he has a lot of experience so we figure the prices are fair for the amount of tree climbing and care required on our wooded lot.

Placed a second call Van to assess a suspect tree (first call left voice mail). He came by the same day and immediately provided an estimate.
He arranged for the removal permit. On a follow up call (another voice mail left) I made to Van.  the tree removal was scheduled for the next day. After the crew left (collected payment), I noticed a few branches of an adjacent tree that were damaged/broken from the removal of the first tree. Follow up work was needed to get the broken branches removed. After all is done, everything looks good.

Bob came to quote the job the day we called. He said they would come in 'about 4 weeks or as schedule would allow'. Happily, they came 5 days later instead after calling ahead to be sure that would suit us,. They arrived with a truck, wood chipper and four enthusiastic workers. I especially liked that they listened to what we wanted and did exactly what we asked, checking with us along the way. They offered some suggestions as to which additional branches should be removed, we agreed and they were correct in their suggestions. They chipped up the branches, cleaned up debris, blew walks and driveway and left us with more light, air flow, and no hanging branches to cause further problems.

After contacting many different Tree Contractors, Van's Tree Service were by far, not only the most reasonable by Price, but also the most professional by any means. Mr. Atkins gave me a starting date at which they showed up on time and immediately began remove the trees. Mr. Atkins' Tree Service is outstanding, his employee's are outstanding, his Tree Service is outstanding and I cannot say enough about the complete satisfaction we received from Mr. Atkins' Tree Service. I sincerely recommend his service to anyone who needs tree removal or other services.

The person who worked on the trees was skillful and professional. The other crew member who assisted in cleaning up the grounds also did a very good job. Well Done!

It was alright but we thought that the price was a little high. As far as we can recall, he did a good job but we thought he was a little expensive. He was efficient and did his job. We will recommend him to others. We will not use him in the future. We have another tree company with whom we work now.

We have used Van's Tree Service for several years now. From day 1, he has been prompt and very professional. For this service, we called Van out to the house last summer to find out why the leaves on our oak were falling off the tree - looking very diseased. He said the tree had a common fungus, and that a preventative spray could be used in the spring before the new leaves emerged (no charge for the visit). When we called him back this spring, we also needed our trees cleaned out and trimmed back. The crew did a great job and we're set again for a few years.

OVER ALL IT WENT GREAT! ALL THREE TREES WERE VERY CLOSE TO MY HOUSE ,YET WERE TAKEN DOWN WITH OUT ANY COLLATERAL DAMAGE. THE CREW (PERHAPS A SLIGHTLY ROUGH LOOKING BUNCH) WERE VERY POLITE, RESPECTFUL OF PERSONS AND PROPERTY AND DID THEIR WORK QUICKLY AND SKILLFULLY. MY JOB WAS ALSO FIT IN EARLIER THAN PLANNED AT MY REQUEST TO FIT MY FAMILY'S VACATION PLANS.
