About us

Southeastern Galleries Inc is one of Charleston’s oldest furniture stores. Founded in 1955, this locally owned family business began in a small building on the corner of Meeting and Hutson Streets in Charleston, South Carolina. By 1985, Southeastern had grown into its present location at 1885 Ashley River Road. Our 30,000 square foot showroom displays one of the best selections of living, dining, bedroom and outdoor furniture in the Carolinas. In addition, you will love browsing through our vast selection of hand knotted Oriental rugs. We look forward to your visit.

Went to Southeastern Galleries to shop for furniture. We met a wonderful designer, Beth. She worked with me and my husband to make sure she knew exactly what we were looking for. She had us "test drive" many pieces of furniture, showed us several fabric selections, and then came out to our house to make sure everything would work in our room. When the furniture was delivered, the delivery men were very professional, and knew exactly where to place the furniture. Beth stayed in touch with us and kept us up to date on the status of our furniture order. Our experience with Southeastern Galleries was GREAT! We will definitely shop there in the future.
Description of Work: A designer came out to our house, with samples to help me choose the best furniture for our family room. She also measured to make sure the furniture would fit and the traffic flow would be good.

Excellent service and selection. Free delivery. Free design services. Their prices are initially high but they WILL negotiate. I shopped several lower priced stores first and they matched the price to keep my business.
