Seemed fine at first, but doors they installed to outside warped and dehumidifier stopped working.  When I called them - they have a 25 year warranty - they are out of business.

We hired Southcoast exteriors to clean and seal the crawl space under the house. They did a great job. Later when we sold our house, the buyers' home inspector told us ours was the cleanest crawl space he had ever seen.

After getting estimates from several foundation repair companies we selected Southcoast Exteriors because they are a local company and their references checked out. They did not start on the originally agreed start date because they had ongoing work that they had not completed. When they did start the crew that was assigned to our work was not experienced in the work they were doing. The project superintendent was only on site briefly every day or so and then dissappeared. The crew dug our around the foundation in the areas where they were to do the repairs, but the locations were not as were identified by the original salesman. When I questioned this the superintendent said he thought his idea of the locations was better and would give better results. Once they started jacking the foundation I questioned the method and how the equipment was being utilized. I was told they knew what they were doing and once the foundation jacked up 1/4 inch (as indicated by a pipe placed against the brickwork on my home) this is where they would stop jacking. I asked why they didn't use and record the pressure indicated on their gauge and was told it was not working but they do this all the time and it would be fine. We left for an hour and when we returned the crew was at the front of our home preparing to jack in the foundation in that area. We went out on the back porch and found the brick had cracked everywhere, we had no cracks in brick before they started. We immediately told them to stop work and call one of their structural engineers to come look at what had happened. We had been told by our salesmant that Southcoast Exteriors had two structural engineers in their local office, this is one of the reasons we decided to go with this company. The crew said they do not have engineers in the office and that the salesman had lied to us. Southcoast Exteriors destroyed my back porch and it took four months to have them repair it, but the work is of poor quality and eventually I had to have another contractor finish some of the porch repairs. I would not recommend this company to anyone for any work. They were unprofessional, not experienced in foundation repair, workers had not been properly trained and the superintendent used unskilled workers to make many of the repairs rather than hire qualified subcontractors. This was the worst construction experience I have ever had.

Overall this was a nightmare. From the start there was an estimate given by the sales representative. Another rep. came with sales rep and the price was increased by 700 dollars due to the way windows were installed when house was built. A front door was discussed. An all glass door was discussed by the sales rep and another representative with us. Neither my husband or myself wanted all glass. We were told to go a web site and pick out a door WHICH is what we did and sent the door number via email to the sales rep. The company then placed the order. Do make sure you see waivers and make sure the company you are hiring has insurance to cover repairs due to damages incurred by installers., as we were sent a waiver after the order. The waiver wanted us to release them for damages for electrical work or marble window sills that may have been incurred by installers. Had a heated conversation with the sales rep. which he implied by husband had agreed to this verbally. This was not the case. My husband had asked for prices on the marble and where to purchase the marble before he would agree. The sales rep. never got back to my husband. We signed the contract with adjustments made to it. Installation was suppose to began on the 27th of Sept. Didn't take place. Were sent an invoice for windows and door for a little about 8300 for everything. Received phone call the day installation was to begin, not all the windows were in. Approximately ten days later I called them and asked WHEN and if they could start the installation on the ones that were in as all of windows hardware in our home had been down since the 26th of September. Windows and door would be delivered on October 12th. The delivery came with windows and an ALL GLASS DOOR. This was not the door we ordered so it was returned. My husband received a phone call from the sales rep. that evening he would give us a really good price on that horrible door. At that point my temper did get the best of me. I did talk with a silent owner the the following Monday. He was under the impression that my husband agreed to an all glass door as he implicated that my husband had agreed to the glass door. Apparently he wasn't aware that I was there when the door was discussed and we were given a web site to view to pick out a door. They refused to replace the door with the one we thought we had ordered as it was more money. So now we have to find another door with another company and wait another two to four more weeks for it to come in. Installation started on the 15th of October to be finished in a couple of days. That did not happen either as the bedroom window was 8 inches too long. A couple of weeks with a boarded up window they finally came and finished. I would recommend the installers but the company owners and especially the sales representative are very undesirable to work with.

They did a great job. Arnie, the owner, comes on a bit strong in the quoting process, but is actually a very nice guy. During the process (five days) we asked them to do several extra things which were readily accomplished. The even replaced my outside lights for me. The job looks good and they cleaned up the area well.

Their salesman laid to us. They did a horrible job. They poured the back porch and did shoty work fixing the back porch. They would not follow up with me. I ended up firing them and having to use another company. They are not a ver reputible company.
Response from Southcoast Exteriors Inc
"Members - I am very disappointed in your response to our efforts to make amends at your home; and shocked about these comments left by you almost a year after we have left. We will admit that when your project began to deteriorate it was initially handled insufficiently; but then I became involved. We had several meetings together and you expressly gave me thanks for making sure this was done correctly. On several occasions you thanked me face-to-face. You never fired us. In fact we kept returning until we got the job done right. We know it did not go as we all would have liked, but despite having charged you $5,300.00 for the job Southcoast Exteriors spent $9,792.00 making sure you were happy and we left the job as it should be. We certainly went through a period of self-evaluation during your project, but in the end you personally handed over payment to me, I shook both your hand and your wife's hand and with everyone smiling we left the job. So I am extremely baffled by this report you have left for us. Our reputation is very important to us and our clients. Chris Terry General Manager & Special Projects"

We had a small roof leak that was coming down to from our roof into our bathroom and damaging the ceiling. I was initially impressed when the consultant came to the house and reviewed the problem he took pictures and told me a detailed plan about what they were going to do. They even guaranteed their work and shook my hand. from there is has been a disaster. We have had 2 different workman to the house to try to fix the roof without any improvement. Our roof continues to leak every time it rains and is going damage the ceiling in our bathroom. I sent numerous emails and tried to contact the initial consultant who came to the house but never got one reply over the course of 3 months. When I called the office all they would do was put my request in "the queue" which placed me at the back of the line of all their work orders. I called 2 weeks ago and haven't heard back from anyone and on one has been to the house. They actually suggested that it might not be the roof at all and it might be a leaking pipe even though it only leaks when it rains. Their customer service is terrible! To say I am frustrated would be an under statement. It seems as though once Southcoast Exteriors was paid everyone stopped trying to get the job done even though I was told that the job would be done to my satisfaction and that there is 10 year labor warranty. We had planned on replacing all our windows in our home but I will obviously be going with another company.
Response from Southcoast Exteriors Inc
"It has been determined that the roof leak was due to a faulty installation from the original contractors. The pitch roof does not have a double layer of building felt installed nor does it have a layer of ice & water shield. Unfortunately, with roof leaks it may take a few visits to determine the cause of the leak, especially when you are not the original contractor. We told the customer that the existing roofing material would have to be removed & properly re-installed. We also stated that it was outside the scope of work of the minor repair originally quoted (which was replacing a plumbing vent boot & installing some flashing @ the corner board) & would provide him with a written proposal & agreement so all parties involved agreed. This work would be warrantied (material & labor)."

The work turned out fine. The only issue we had was that they were supposed to tie up the vents underneath, which they didn't. When we had called them back, they blamed the issue on the house being an old house and didn't do anything with that. Other than that, they were prompt. We did recommend them to our neighbors.

They have two painters that do excellent work. They painted the siding, trim, and house by brush. They were very thorough with their hand painting. They have extreme attention to detail. Their painting work was exceptional. I was satisfied with their services.

A great job! The salesman as well as the supervisor were articulate and responsive to all my questions. They had to construct one wall to completely enclose the space, and they also lined all the inside brick supporting pillars. They had to remove all the old insulation between rafters of our first floor. They also rebuilt and insulated the doorway to get under the house. It was a first-class job and I was very pleased.

Excellent. Will Dinkins at Southcoast very professional and punctual. I had several lower estimates, and after showing them to Will, he dropped the price from $725 to $550. This still wasn't the cheapest estimate, but I'm confident it was the best value. Southcoast did excellent work.

The contractor came promptly when called, gave an informed opinion as to what need to be done and emailed an estimate. One other estimate was received from a contractor who seemed competent. A third contractor was contacted and came to the house but did not follow through with an estimate. Southcoast came when promised and performed the work over several days in a neat and professional manner. All workment were friendly and helpful. No complaints and I would use them again and recommend to others.

It was a very small job. They were quite responsive, and I was actually quite surprised that they took such a small job. They were right on time and came when they said they’d be here. If I need siding work done, I’ll definitely call them.

The managers were very professional, polite and personable. The workers arrived as scheduled and the work was done as rapidly and completely as they could before the next rain. The roof looked fine and the minor requests were addressed after completion. The Clean up left something to be desired, as we were picking up roof nails for days. I was not comfortable with the workers who were messing with my fish pond and there was an air hose left in my tree, that they went off and forgot about, however overall I was pleased that the roof was completed as scheduled and seems to be working fine.
