South of Broadscapes

Was right on time with a hard working crew, made the long neglected yard look much better, great cleanup afterward, friendly and easy to deal with.

I got three estimates and chose South of Broadscapes. John's estimate seemed fair and I liked his manner when I talked with him. I indicated that I had major problems with deer, had lousy soil in general, full sun at one location, boggy soil at another and needed suggestions as to what to plant where. I further indicated that I didn't mind having all current shrubs taken out but would like to save one very large, special palm tree. Weather could not have been worse; exceptionally wet spring which made planning and planting difficult. John and crew were flexible, called before coming, and always arrived on time. Especially liked his knowledge of plants/shrubs. He made suggestions, gave options, listened to my ideas, and even suggested keeping some of the established shrubs by relocating them to another area which saved me money since I did not have to then buy new shrubs for that area. Palm seems to be thriving; has new growth as does all plants/shrubs that were planted. I would not hesitate to use South of Broadscapes again in the future and would recommend John and his crew without reservation to others.

We have been working on developing and maintaining a complicated garden for nearly a year. The project is going well.
