Started off great the gentlemen I dealt with were nice. It took almost a month after they got paid the first installment of money before they started the work. We ended up having to do a lot of the work ourselves. We had insurance money totaling a little over 50 grand. The contractors take forever to return calls emails or texts. They started a 10 week job in August and it’s now December and they just finished. They broke my vanity top, punched countless holes in the walls, punched a hole in the tub insert, they took so long to do the roof on the house we got more damage to our house then we had from storm damage, they broke the main plumbing under the house to which they had no reason at all to be touching, their contractors would leave the front door and garage unlocked and open when no one was there, they kept a bucket in our closet for peeing in. We sat down with our contractors in September and gave them a list of problems with their handy work like live wires that aren’t connected to anything, hvac lines that run no where, the broken plumbing, light switches that weren’t connected. In November we had to have the contractors back out to do another walk through listing the same problems. I’ve now asked them for detailed invoices to which I won’t receive according to the office it’s not something they do but magically every penny of Insurance money got used and they still haven’t done everything they were suppose to. Because they refuse to give detailed invoices we haven’t signed the final paperwork to which they continue to harass us about and went so far as to get our bank in the house to complete the final inspection so the money will get released to give them the final payment. They told us a month ago when they claimed to be done with their work that there was 14,000 left in the budget now they tell us there’s only 2000 left and all they did was send one contractor out to cut the vent stacks down to the correct height to pass code after they failed three inspections by our county because of it. Due to them burning through all our money we have to fix our deck, fence, flooring, bathroom, paint, and clean up the damage from the storm out of our own pocket. In addition to having to do all that we’ve had to replace everything the contractors broke as well as the items they stole like light fixtures and ceiling fan parts that we removed ahead of them coming in to the house to work and they knew we were going to put back up to save money.

Great! Did a very good job. Cannot tell there was ever a hole, in my ceiling. They brought in an electrician, to fix things, also. And most of all, the young man, in charge of my repairs...Wow..what a personable man!

Fine. I took 3 days out of the home, in a hotel. When I returned, everything was back to normal. They are a great group of people, especially the Project Manager.

It was okay.  The flood was on July 7th, 2015.  I had to pay them $1000 dollars up front before they even walked in the door.   That's difficult because there were some things that they did a really really good job on but as soon as I didn't want to go with who they wanted to do, replacing my floors or you know basically just my floors because I'm an accountant and I have not one but two flooring contractors and I know their work and that's who I wanted to do the work and that upset me that if I was going to give high end work in the counter tops and the floors to someone other than them then they left the job.  They didn't finish what they started.  I had to bring in another restoration company to finish the job.  They did a good job for what they did.  They just didn't want to finish it when I wouldn't let them do what they called the high end job, which was granite counter tops and hardwood floors.  When I refused to use their people and insisted on using my own then they said, well, they just left the job and I had to have someone else come in to pick up where ever they left off at and complete it.  I thought the price may be a little bit high.  There was one guy, and he was like the manager, that was absolutely awesome.  I mean he did everything he possibly could for me but he's also the one that said well if your going to pull the high end stuff for someone else to do then we're going to leave.

At first the flooring samples we looked at were not the best of grades, the manager reached out and provided us with higher grade of flooring to choose from only after we noticed the tile was a lower grade. Overall they did a great job. Our job supervisor was excellent at scheduling, and he follow up with anybody that may not have showed.

It took a while to get everything finished since it was through my insurance. The job included replacing flooring and wallpaper. I had them do additional work including painting and drywalling/plastering. They were very agreeable and easy to work with. I would definitely use them again.

From the first contact I made by phone to the very last contact the service was superior. The response to the crisis was immediate and I received frequent communications as to the status of the project. The work was excellent in all areas. There were very few delays in the restoration even though several subcontractor's schedules were involved. Because of the timely and effecient manner of the work, any anxiety or stress that I might have suffered was reduced to about zero. I often felt that many of the people i dealt with went above and beyond the call of duty to help matters go smoothly. I am an extremely satisfied customer and would recommend Paul Davis Restoration  to anyone in need of this kind of help.

The were very professional, efficient, and did everything right on schedule as they said they would and right on price the that was quoted. Josh was the supervisor on my job and he couldn't have a been more helpful. They were nice people and absolutely incredible to work with. An A is not high enough rating!

Josh, my main point of contact, was excellent throughout.  He was always extremely professional, courteous, on-time and went above and beyond with several additional requests (some related to the damage, some not).  He worked out a great deal for me and now I basically have a brand new bathroom.  The old shower and tile was ripped out, and a new shower and drain were installed.  In addition, the claim covered brand new tile (wall to floor) for my shower and even a new paint job for the entire bathroom.  The new shower rocks and it looks 10 times better than it did prior to the water damage.  I paid $2,000 for my deductible out of about $6,000 for the entire project.  Josh was also kind enough to allow Paul Davis to absorb some of the additional costs not covered by my insurance claim.  The company provides a 3 year workmanship warranty which was explained in great detail to me.  Overall, I had a very good experience with Paul Davis Restoration.
The only reason I cannot  give an A review is not due to Paul Davis themselves, but for some of the contractors they employ.  The contractors who installed the shower and tile did a fantastic job if you judge the final result, overall, however, the job took much, much longer than first described to me.  The contractors more often than not showed up late to the job (on one occasion, over 6 hours late!).  This was a very big inconvenience, and multiple weekends and additional time off from work was wasted accommodating these contractors.  However, on the flip side, Josh himself always worked with me on setting up times that were convenient for me, and in one case, paying one contractor more to come work on a Saturday instead of during the week as it was more convenient for me.
On another note, the overall quality was very good, however, I have a few notes:  1) The tile installers brought in an employee who basically wasted a whole day installing the tile incorrectly...this caused further delays as the tile had to be reinstalled the day after.  They were consistently late and often did not show up to the job with the right tools or equipment. 2) Another company who did the paint job in the bathroom did a horrible job on the trim around the shower and along some of the walls.  They had to come back in and fix this, and even when they did, they still did a pretty shoddy job.  Days afterwards, I am still finding spots of paint around my house.  3) The shower door company arrived on time, however, they purchased the wrong sized door!  They had to come back the next day and reinstall this.  4) On the positive side, Just in Time Plumbers, who reinstalled my new drain and did the initial water damage inspection, did a fantastic job.  It is very apparent that they have a great working relationship with Paul Davis Restoration.
All in all, my review is a bit of a double-edged sword.  Paul Davis was one of the most professional contracting companies I have dealt with (and I have dealt with many).  However, they really should reevaluate some of the contractors they hire.  This job, which should have taken a few weeks, ended up taking several months.  But, I feel that this company made things right anytime I had a complaint or an issue.  I am very happy with my new bathroom and overall, I would recommend them for water damage restoration services.

Company was an option for USAA insurance repair on my home after a tree
caused minor damage to the second story roof overhang. Quoted price was
acceptable to the insurance company so no other bids were obtained.
Repairs were completed and accepted, but the details that would have
made it an excellent experience were lacking.   Communication between
estimator/supervisor and work crews was poor.  I will try someone else
the next time.
