We have a very large lot for our subdivision and have been hesitant about fencing it because the standard privacy fence would spoil our view of all the lovely trees in our backyard. However, with small boys, it quickly became apparent that we would need some sort of fencing to be able to let them run around while staying out of the drainage ditch that borders our backyard on two sides. We chose to fence off a portion of our yard with a lower fence to keep the boys safe and preserve our views. We were aware of Mr. Marietti's company from being members of the South Carolina Stingrays hockey team booster club - he was team captain for many years and settled here after he retired. I contacted him through his company's website, and he got back in touch with me almost immediately. The next day, he was out to measure the area of the yard we wanted fenced. He was very polite and professional. He gave us our estimate, which we found very reasonable, and scheduled our installation for the Thursday and Friday of the next week. He answered all our questions quickly and thoroughly. When inclement weather forced him to move his schedule back, he contacted us right away and rescheduled for Monday/Tuesday the week after. He and his assistant arrived Monday morning and got right to work. They installed all the posts, then came back Tuesday for the rails and slats. He was very accommodating, especially when we contacted him to let him know that carpet installers would also be at the house Tuesday and they would need to share the driveway. They finished the fence that afternoon, and we couldn't be happier. It looks great and does exactly what it needs to do - keep the boys out of the ditch. I would definitely recommend Marietti Fence Company to anyone for their fencing needs.

Brett did a great job installing the fence and performing the repairs to the existing fence. I don't understand the negative comments that have been posted in other reviews. I found him very knowledgeable about fencing requirements. He scheduled his visits to my home and kept me fully informed and on time. He came and set the posts on the day he scheduled. The day he was to return to build the rest of the fence had to be delayed by 24 hours because of rain and he called and kept me advised of when he was coming. The materials he used were high quality and his installer culled out split or poor quality boards without my input. He did not require an up front deposit to do the job as his competitors had indicated they required to do the job. His price was competitive and fair. The whole job was completed in a professional manner and I had no complaints. I would recommend his company to anyone needing a wood or decorative fence.

I had requested quotes from several fencing companies and was working to get HOA approval for the installation. I had initially selected another vendor for the install and when I finally recieved HOA approval they jumped the price by 30%. So, I went back out for other estimates. I contacted Brett and because I wanted the hidden fastener version of the fencing, he had to get quotes from the supplier. Brett quickly returned my quote in a matter of a couple of days and very near the original quote I had from the first installer I spoke with. Brett was very helpful and even brought by a sample of the fencing so I could verify color and make a decision regarding the picket spacing for my dogs. I did a search for Marietti Fence on Angie's List and because Brett had only a few reviews and one of them bad; I asked Brett for references. He provided several recent references in my area along with contact names. I viewed a couple of his installs and spoke with the references and found that I was comfortable with his work.
Brett confirmed the measurements I had given hime from the previous quotes and placed the order once I had made my decision. Delivery of my special order took about two weeks and Brett came out to install as soon as the fence arrived. The fence was installed in two days and the installation looks very nice. Brett listened to my requests regarding the placement and yard repairs and even leveled a small mound without additional charges so that the fence profile was more even. There were a couple of minor cosmetic issues with the fence but Brett handled these and sent me a bottle of touch up paint for any future issues.

Brett did the install with no down payment and did not invoice until all work was complete. There was a minor glitch on the order and the supplier failed to send two corner posts. Brett resolved this in less than a week and the fence install was secured temporarily until the posts arrived so we could use the fence for our pets.

I gave Brett a B in professionalism based on information from my girlfried who interacted with him during the day. She felt that he was short in his communications with her and her concern for some flowers in the landscaping. I do not see any damage to the landscaping and all of my conversations with Brett were handled very professionaly and answers were quickly returned to my questions. He was very responsive and thorough in his information provided. As I was not present for their conversation, I can only report what was relayed and my experiences.
In my opinion, Brett did a great job and delivered the product I requested in a quick and efficient manner. I would recommend him for aluminum fence installation.

Brett was a recommendation via a longtime business associate. I was a little concerned about the past Angie's list grade but felt the recommendation made by my associate to be of sound merrit.
We live in the country and wanted to ensure we contracted someone who was honest and had a good reputation. My personal biggest fear is to have a contractor on my secluded country property that might not be of good moral charactoer and that might hire people who could possibly see our home as and quot;easy pickingsand quot;.
I was able to reach Brett Thursday evening, confirmed the price he quoted and we arranged for him and his crew to be at my home on Monday. He called before he came and had the fencing job completed in 1 day. He ensured my yard was clean and all of the holes. where he had to remove old fence posts, were filled. I couldn't have hasked for a better quality job. My back yard is now exactly what I wanted. Brett listened to my concerns and did everything that I asked of him gladly.
Brett also gave me piece of mind. He personally did the work on my property with his crew and at no time did I feel uneasy about having this contractor at my home. He has made this 2 dog family very happy.

I provided specifics of how I wanted the fence built. I even built an example so he knew exactly how it was to look. Mr. Marietti was punctual and professional, however, after the work began he was not on site very often. during the construction he used several excuses for his inferior building techniques. Upon completion I pointed out numerous flaws in the fence but most notably the fence was different heights on either side of the gate, about 8 inches off. Bottom line...don't hire Marietti Fence Company unless your an attorney and prepared to argue in court.
