The people were friendly, the work was done in a reasonable amount of time.  When they told me my battery was weak, I told them to replace it.  The man at the counter told me how great their warranty was on this particular battery, and the price seemed reasonable.  In mid-April, a little more than 4 months later, my vehicle (2003 model) was very slow to start.  My assumption was that there was an issue with the starter or alternator, since the battery was new.  I took it to Gerald's to have it checked out, and was told the only problem I had was a bad battery.  I had no idea where my Jiffy Lube paperwork was, and needed to have the battery replaced right then.  I found my paperwork a few days ago, and called Jiffy Lube on June 15 and explained to Bryan what had happened.  I was told that Ron, the district manager would call me back.  Not having a call back by today, June 17, I called again and spoke with Bryan, who said that they could not do anything since I didn't return the bad battery to them.  I reminded him that I had all the paperwork from them, as well as from Gerald's.  His response was that he was sorry, but there's nothing they can do.  If that's what the fine print says, then it is what it is.  BUT, be warned that you may be buying a poor product if you allow Jiffy Lube to replace your battery. 

My experience was through the Jiffy Lube on Trolley Road in Summerville, but the district manager would still be "Mr Ron."  His name and cell phone number is printed at the bottom of the receipt, asking that you call him with any problems.  When you call, the message tells you the voice mail box is full, and to call back another time.

They generally do quick service. They have a history of the vehicle and they have the recommended manufactures manuals. They will recommend services and they do not hurt the car. They are decent folks and they do a good job. I typically use a $5.00 coupon, if I remember it.

They are professional and have a nice clean place. They don't have a lot of chairs for sitting while you are waiting. The pricing isn't too bad. I had problems with them along time ago, but it's fine now. They seem to be pretty good guys.

Service was HORRIBLE! I had just driven in from out of town and stopped to get a quick oil change. The manager was manning the service desk and was engaged in an extended, annoying conversation with someone. I stood there for at least 5-10 minutes and was just getting ready to walk out when he ended his call. As I'm filling out the preservice paperwork, I notice through the window that the technician? has pulled my truck into the service bay and is spraying cold water on the oil filter and all around the engine block where the filter is mounted. I immediately tell the manager to have this technician? STOP spraying water on the hot engine! I ask the manager if this is standard Jiffy Lube procedure. He mumbles something that sounds like "N0!" then yells at his technician? to come inside where he tells him not to spray water on the engine, to which the technician? responds, "It's hot! Bubba has already burned his hand on the filter!" At this point I tell the manager to annotate on my bill that his technician? sprayed water on a hot engine. I tell him in no uncertain terms that I will not set foot in another Jiffy Lube, EVER!!!
