I was intimidated by the insurance company as I'd never filed a claim before. Mr. Witt assisted me in contacting my insurance company to file a claim (on both my house and my car), and helped me understand what was being said by the insurance company. Mr. Witt also helped me to know what questions to ask and what to expect from that first phone call, and what to expect when the claims adjuster arrived. Although it is customary to sign an agreement of service, Mr. Witt did not insist that I sign a contract with Green Rhino at that time (again, he was very respectful of my comfort in dealing with financial contracts.)
Mr. Witt was at my house when the claims adjuster arrived and went on the roof with him, pointing out damage that the claims adjuster may have overlooked. Once the level of damage was established by the claims adjuster, he cut me a check for part of the work to be done, and stated that once the job was completed and I was satisfied with the work, then the insurance company would cut the other check for final payment. It was at that time I felt comfortable in signing the contract with Green Rhino, but not before Mr. Witt explained my total financial responsibility and my insurance companies financial responsibility, line by line in the contract.
I was allowed the opportunity to upgrade the shingles for an additional amount, but was never pressured to do so.
I was advised of the day that the shingles would arrive and when work would begin/end. The roofers arrived very early in the morning and were respectful of me, my home, my privacy and my pets, while they were working. Mr. Witt and his associates checked in on the progress throughout the day. The roofers did a beautiful job on my roof. The total out of pocket expense was my deductible and the cost for the upgraded shingles. There were No Surprises!
I was very pleased with the courtesy, respect and professionalism I was shown by Green Rhino employees and would not hesitate to recommend the company.
"[Removed member's name], It is typically our policy to deliver materials and start the job before taking the first check. In looking at my records I am showing your material deliver date was before we deposited your check so I do believe that to be right. If that is not what happened I would like to hear firsthand of your experience. Please call my cell phone at 6027587663. If there is anything left to straighten out I would be happy to assist you. I did look into your file and the salesmen that you were working with had quit and left several loose ends to tie up. I do my best when making hiring decisions but unfortunately I do not always get it right. That being said I would love the opportunity to help and make sure the t's and it's are dotted and crossed. Please call me at the aforementioned number. Thanks Bob Schober"
I took his information, did some research online... checked their organization out and followed up with our insurance company representative -(which is a major insurance provider). My agent said they had worked with Green Rhino in our state, locally and in North Carolina. A few days later our adjuster met with us and Daniel from Green Rhino, they checked our roof for the damage that we had and after a thorough check of the house, to find if there were any other issues we had an approved claim.
The guys from Green Rhino were out within a week, and we had a roof put on in a little over a day. The roofers were professionals and did a great cleanup job as well as a quality install. I paid our deductible to Green Rhino, and when the work was finished our Insurance agent came out checked it.... made sure we were happy as well and we were issued a check for the remaining balance.
They did exactly what they said they would. The work was top quality. The staff was professional, We are extremely satisfied with the work and GREEN RHINO.
I would recommend them to anyone in the Lowcountry who is considering a new roof.
Thank you Daniel, Thank you Green Rhino.
Paul Gannon of Green Rhino Builders approached us and said they could get it covered. I laughed but Paul didn't! After a few days and a visit by our insurance adjuster, Paul was back to schedule the work. All it cost us was our deductible. Amazing!
The crew came and installed the roof in about 1 1/2 days, they went out of their way to clean up our yard, and even fixed our gutters.
Paul and the crew at Green Rhino Builders were incredible. Last night we had another Arizona Monsoon storm and I couldn't believe how quiet our house was and no more leaks.
I would highly recommend them and have to many of our friends. They were quick, professional, and performed much better then we ever expected.
