Carpet Installation
They were late for the appointment and their installers were stopped because they were unlicensed in Seabrook. This caused a day's delay since they did not have money to buy license. They broke a glass top cover for a dresser and denied it, but later admitted it to the store manager who had it replaced. They did not want to re istall the closet doors where the carpet was laid and finally did a shoddy job of it requiring more work from someone else. The seams in the carpet were improperly fitted and the carpet sustained an 8 foot tear shorty after installation. We had to pay to have it replaced. Someone else had to come and re-install the carpet under the threshholds where it was not secured.

THE STORE ONLY HAD ONE STYLE/COLOR IN STOCK AT THE STORE. IT WAS NOT WHAT WE WANTED. THEY TOLD US THAT THE COLOR WE WANTED WAS AVAILABLE FOR MORE MONEY BUT THEY WOULD HAVE TO ORDER IT AND PUSHED US TO BUY WHAT WAS IN THIS LOCAL STORE. I UNDERSTAND THAT SPECIAL ORDERS WOULD/COULD BE MORE AND WAS NOT PUT OFF BY THAT. WE TOOK SOME SAMPLES HOME AND DECIDED WE DEFINITELY DIDN T WANT WHAT WAS IN STOCK. CALLED AND TOLD THEM, AND ASKED FOR THE PRICE ON WHAT WE WANTED. IN THE MEANTIME WENT TO LUMBER LIQUIDATORS AND FOUND EXACTLY WHAT WE WERE LOOKING FOR. FLOOR IT NOW CALLED BACK AND GAVE US THE PRICE FOR THE SIMILAR ITEM MUCH HIGHER PRICE. WHEN WE TOLD THEM WHAT WE FOUND THEY AND THE PRICE, THEY GAVE IS A LINE ABOUT THE QUALITY OF LUMBER LIQUIDATORS FLOORING. WHEN WE POINTED OUT THAT IT HAD A 30 YEAR WARRANTY, 10 YEARS BETTER THAN THEIRS THEY BRUSHED IT OFF. LATER THAT DAY THEY CALLED BACK TO SAY THEY HAD A WAY TO MATCH THE LUMBER LIQUIDATORS PRICE BY SQUEEZING THE INSTALLER. BUT WEREN T EXACTLY CLEAR ABOUT AN EXACT AMOUNT. I TOLD THEM WE WOULD PASS. THEN WE WENT BACK FOR AREA RUGS. AGAIN EVERYTHING WE LIKED THAT WASN T IN STOCK WAS CONSIDERABLY MORE. FINALLY PURCHASED 1 RUG FROM THEM WITH A PAD. WHEN WE WENT BACK TO PICK UP THE RUG, THE PAD THEY GAVE US WASN T THE DELUXE PAD THEY SOLD US. WE WERE TOLD THAT THE PAD WE ORIGINALLY PICKED OUT WAS GOING TO BE ANOTHER $50-60 MORE. WHEN WE TOLD THEM WE DIDN T WANT THE PAD AT THAT PRICE SUDDENLY WE WERE BACK TO THE ORIGINAL PRICE. BY THE WAY, WENT TO GDC FOR THE OTHER AREA RUGS WE NEEDED. NO SURPRISES, NO PRESSURE AND ACTUALLY BETTER VALUE FOR THE MONEY. IT SEEMS NOTHING WITH FLOOR IT NOW IS WHAT IT ACTUALLY SEEMS. IF YOU BUY FROM THEM BE VERY SPECIFIC AND GET THEM TO WRITE IT ALL DOWN OR JUST GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Carpet Installation
The salespeople were a bit overbearing, but listened and showed me carpet samples that they though would meet my needs. They were actually pushing me into lesser quality carpet than I wanted, which I thought was strange. I picked out a carpet they gave me a deal on; he gave me a preliminary estimate and said someone would call on Monday to come by and take the actual measurements for the final estimate. I had to call on Tuesday afternoon because I had not heard anything from them. Someone did come by to measure after that, but then 3 days went by with no response from them. I finally called them again, and after giving him my info again (including the price of the carpet I had picked out), he gave me a new estimate. I asked if we just needed to schedule a date for the installation at that point and he said I had to come in to pick out the carpet first. Since I had already done that, and was frustrated by their lack of responsiveness, I took my business elsewhere.

Carpet Installation
I live in Chicago while my condo is in West Ashley. I called the store and asked for an inexpensive yet durable carpet quote that would not show wear. The salesperson knew exactly what I needed and faxed me a quote one hour later outlining the square foot cost and the installation cost. I needed the installation done quickly due to an upcoming visitor; the carpet had been damaged from water. He was able to schedule the installation at the exact time and date I wanted. He also had no problem meeting with my renter who visited the store to ensure the carpet was aesthetically pleasing. The installers arrived on time and finished their work quickly and efficiently. The only drawback is that I felt the installation price was high. We were given a discount on the carpet but the installation price was inflated, in my opinion. However, I couldn't wait 6-7 weeks for installation which was the time proposed by Home Depot!

Carpet Installation
I would have to say that their workmanship was just so so. They did a pretty good job of installing the carpet however they had stuck our oriental rug up in our attic. I did call the business the next day and they did come out and get it down for me. I guess I was pretty happy with the store as they did have good responsiveness, but the subcontractor they hired really disappointed me.
