I had used Economy TV a couple of times long ago under the previous owner. When I dropped off my 40? Samsung TV on Saturday April 18 I found out there was a new owner. and they charge $50 to diagnose. The worker said he would call Mon or Tues. He called me Wednesday to tell me it was the power supply board. I authorized repair for $216 because he said it was worth fixing instead of being a throwaway since new 40? Samsung?s sell for over $500. After not hearing from them, I called Wed April 30 and he said the part was shipped to economy TV in CA but it should be in today or Friday. When I hadn't heard from him, I called Tues 5/5. He said it should be in ?today around noon.? At 4:15 a woman named Debbie called and said he got the part yesterday afternoon but that it didn?t work and it was the last one in the country. They would have to order one from China which would take two weeks. I told her I was extremely unhappy because I don?t feel I?ve gotten straight information from them. I asked for my $50 back she said no. I felt they should have offered something other than so sorry, too bad, we got your money. I subsequently found out I could buy a new 40? Samsung SMART TV for only $369! That was only $150 more than the repair cost which I consider being a throwaway. I felt they just wanted to get my money. Their customer service is extremely lacking. The guy who runs the shop is a repairman not the owner so I suppose he doesn?t need to have the customer service skills. I?d find a TV repair company who works for you instead of their own pocket.
Description of Work: Claimed to be able to fix TV but only wanted the diagnostic service.

Todd has serviced multiple tv sets for us over about 15 years. I trust his work, his judgement and his staff to do the work quickly (which is quite a task if you've ever seen his shop/store!) and professionally. What may seem like a lot to pay for repair - the total was $150 - it was still worth it rather than buying a whole new set. I recommend them to anyone and everyone in the Charleston, Johns Island, James Island areas.
Description of Work: The power source on our 46" Insignia flat screen tv went out. Todd had it diagnosed and fixed in less than a week.
