Charles was fantastic! He completed our home inspection with great attention to detail and took the time to educate us on how to identify and monitor future issues. He arrived early, answered all of our questions, and was overall a pleasure to be around during the 2-3 hour inspection. I would highly recommend Charles to anyone needing a thorough home inspection and will be calling him for all of my future general contractor needs.

My home experience with Charles left a smile on my face, I promise I didn't think I was going to enjoy it going into the process. While I'm relatively handy with fixing little things around the house, Charles has an amazing eye for every little detail you may not even think to inspect. He was very responsive when reaching out for a quote, early to the actual inspection, and did an A+ job from start to finish. His report was in my email inbox under 5 hours after the inspection. I can't even explain how much I learned about my new house today! He's also a great resourse if you ask "Okay, how do I fix that? How much will that cost? Who should I hire to do this? How long will this applicance last me? What would you fix first?" kind of questions! Ask away, he loves his job and is happy to educate you along the way! I was able to video the entire inspection to share with my other half once he was home from work. So easy to pass info along when you can watch the pro explaining it thoroughly. Great! Charles with CFM is a great home inspector. She great, in fact, that we have used him three times for three different homes in the past two years. He came recommended from Carolina One Reality during our home purchase on Isle of Palms in 2015. We have since called him for two other home inspections. He does an amazing job. I've worked construction for several years and can vouch that Charles really knows his stuff. His reports are very thorough and he doesn't miss anything. I would highly recommend him.

Very friendly and informed. Walked through the entire house with me and explained everything he was doing. This is my first house buying experience and I was impressed with his willingness to go out of his way to explain the process and answer any questions I had meanwhile still doing his job testing every from plugs, faucets, door(and lock),window,and light switch(which was very helpful to figure out).Taking pictures of everything all the while including an alligator in a pond near by the property.He took the time to ask some of the neighbors and learn some history and general info on the house. I would definitely recommend him to anyone for a great home inspection.

Charles is the best! - He answered every email - every call - and was early for the inspection and stayed as long after the inspection as we needed to ask him questions. He was very through - took his time and inspected every inch of the home including climbing up on the roof. The realtor we were with was very impressed and is passing his name on to other clients and professionals alike. We highly recommend Charles as a true professional and credit to his profession - he takes great pride in his work and it shows.

He was easy to communicate with prior to the appointment. CFM's website is very easy and straightforward to use - it gives you a quote for the job cost and allows you to schedule a date and time.

Charles arrived early to the job, which was great as it was panning out to be a very hot day. He was VERY informative and thorough - super friendly guy. We've had 4 home inspections over the past 5 years, and CFM was the best I've used yet. You could tell he took pride in his work. He took the time to show us different parts of the home that a home owner should see (attic, potential plumbing problems, etc). I appreciated that.

He followed up with us that night with the full detailed inspection report.

I took quotes from 3 different companies for this particular job, and CFM was right on with the rest of them.

Charles was great!  He showed up early and was very polite and professional.  As he did the home inspection, he was very informative throughout the process, explaining and showing us things(we are first time buyers, so it was very helpful) that we may not have known or noticed.  He paid great attention to detail.  We got our report emailed to us only a few hours later, which was fantastic.  We will most definitely use his services again when buying another home!

Charles was not only punctual but early for the inspection. He performed a very comprehensive/complete inspection of the home including a thermal imaging inspection. Very professional and knowledgeable; I believe Charles provided a very accurate and honest assessment of the property. His prices could very well be inline with other inspectors in the area (I did receive a military discount). I'm frugal by nature but Charles came highly recommended so I did not price shop around. My NA rating on price should not be considered a negative by any means. i would highly recommend him to a friend.

It went great.  He was very professional and friendly.  I just wish we had more professionals like him.  He was nice and friendly and explained everything in detail.  My report was available when I turned my computer on that evening.  I would use him again and would definitely recommend him to anyone needing this type of service.

Owner/ inspector is extremely knowledgeable. The most complete and thorough inspection one could expect. thermal imaging can uncover hidden problems. Well worth the price.

I don't think you could ask for a better building inspection.  Not only was he very professional in his work but he was friendly and helpful.  He explained everything in detail as he did the inspection step by step.  The final report was amazing with its details and many close-up photographs. He has a very clear understanding of what to look for in a building and nothing was overlooked.
