Byrd's Automotive is as close to a and quot;neighborhood mechanicand quot; as we can get. They are located only a few blocks from our home, and we have taken two different cars there fairly frequently over the past five years. When I decided that I no longer wanted to pay for Lexus service for a 10 year old Lexus I started taking it to Mr. Byrd. I asked him to work with me to keep the car running since it was a model only made from 2002-2005, I loved it, and I really did not want to give it up (it now has 199,000 miles on it). On several occasions we acquired parts elsewhere (on which Mr. Byrd then made no profit) but he always did the installations graciously (brakes, catalytic converter, front end work, struts, etc.). My husband does not drive as many miles per year as I do so his car has not needed to be in the shop as often, but he also trusts Mr. Byrd. Byrd's is a small family owned and run business, and prides itself on honest work for a decent price. We believe they have always given us good honest appraisals of what needed to be done as well as how much it was going to cost, and we have greatly appreciated--and come to trust--that honesty. Byrd's does not have to and quot;drum upand quot; business. They always seem to have enough work to do. We will continue to take our cars to him in the future.

Great, I have been using Byrd's for years. They are trustworthy, dependable and affordable. They are not trying to make a quick buck, they want your business for years to come and know they have to earn it!

I joined Angies List because I needed help deciding where to take my car . I started reading Reviews on Byrds Automotive. I called them and asked if they were busy right now. I told them the problem I had with my car. I headed out to find Byrd's. They were great. Explained everything to me. It only cost me 92.00. Money well spent. I wil be back!!

I had already visited two other mechanics because of rattling noises coming from rear wheels and, based on their advice, replaced the rear shocks. When this didn't solve the problem, I went to see Max Byrd because of his positive reviews on AL. At first I was a bit miffed because he charged me $40 to have his mechanic remove the tires and inspect the rear suspension. But he explained that he has to charge when they spend more than a couple minutes on a car without proceeding with repairs at that time (I was unable to leave the car there on that particular day). He did, however, give me a little bit of a discount and told me he'd do his best to give me a break on the repair cost when I brought it back. I made an appointment the next week and Max Byrd kep his word: his estimate was $175 (I'd called two other garages and they quoted me $200 or more), but the parts and labor totaled $153. So, although I didn't like paying to get an estimate, the total cost came in under $200 and the car rides and sounds great. I did think that they we're slow in the actual repairs -- I was on time for my 9am appointment and the work should've taken only an hour or so, but they didn't call me until mid-afternoon. However, I was pretty satisfied overall. Often it's hard to find an honest, competent auto mechanic, so I will return to Byrn Automotive in the future.

I have not had the electrical problem since Byrd's worked o9n it and tyhe AC is fine

BYRD'S AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR does quality work. They are very friendly and reliable. There are no problems getting the car in. They close at five, but they do a great job.

NEVER HAD A SINGLE PROBLEM. A COUPLE OR REPAIRS WERE ACTUALLY PERFORMED FOR LESS THAN THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE. MR. BYRD IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE TO TELL YOU EXACTLY WHAT HE DID AND HIS ASSESSMENT OF ANY OTHER POTENTIAL PROBLEMS THAT WERE NOTICED.

Max Byrd is an honest, hard working manthat stands behind his work.

The last time I used them, I had a leaking feul tank in a Ford pickup that I was about to sell. He provided an estimate and the work was done. I have used Byrd's service for many years when there is something wrong with a vehicle that I can not fix.

I have never had a bad experience there. I will continue to use their services in the future and would recommend them to others.
