I took my boat to Beebe Boatworks. Mr. Beebe promised to do a good job, so I made a down payment of $8,000. Before any work was done on the boat, a friend of mine suggested that I pick up my boat from Beebe Boatworks because his boat had been there for 6 months on a 6 week job, so I told Mr. Beebe to let my friend remove the boat for me which he did. Mr. Beebe then agreed to return my deposit. I had numerous discussions after that with Mr. Beebe regarding my deposit. In each discussion he said he would return it as soon as he delivered a particular boat and got paid. I never got my deposit back, sued him, and now have a judgment against him in the court in Charleston. Attached is a copy of the Order for Judgement. I did not do my homework before giving Mr. Beebee my money, or I would have known that he had several judgments against him already. I suggest you do your homework before you give him any money. My friend finally took workers to Beebe Boatworks and finished his boat himself.

Beebe never delivered the boat and did not fully refund my deposit money. I won the law suit in Charleston Magistrate court (case # 2017CV1010300477). However, Peter "Chris" Beebe he has no titled assets that can be seized by the Sheriff. DO NOT GIVE THIS PERSON ANY MONEY. He knows how to play the system. Check him out in the Charleston Magistrate court and see for yourself. Image of cases attached. [*** Link removed ***]
Description of Work: The woodworker is now trying to sell himself as a boat builder. I contracted Beebe to build a 18' Osprey boat.

Description of Work: Mr. Beebe's current address for his business is: 1533 Folly Road, Suite D1, Charleston, SC 29412. | |After inspecting his workshop, examining the quality of his work and seeing his design for our project, we signed a contract with Pete C. Beebe ("Chris") on April 16, 2014 for a custom wardrobe to be built and installed in our home. At that time we requested a "date of completion" on the contract, but he refused saying he wasn't comfortable with that. Ultimately, we agreed to add the phrase "approximate time 30 days". We gave Mr. Beebe a deposit of $1,375 (50%) with the balance of $1,375 to be paid upon completion of the job. He assured us our job was so small he fully expected to have it built and installed by the end of the first week in May. | |Mr. Beebe was friendly and encouraged us to stop by anytime to view the progress of our job. Anxious and excited, we obliged and stopped in on numerous occasions. It is now the end of JUNE. We have seen NOTHING! We have NOTHING! | |There has been one excuse after another. The last scheduled date for installation was noon on Saturday, June 21st. He never showed. He never called . . . not on that day . . . or since. | |Mr. Beebe's excuses are literally UNBELIEVABLE . . . his credibility, non-existent. We remain baffled by his total lack of professionalism and would not recommend him to anyone. | |
