"Thank you for the kind words. To clarify however, the dryer hose was not knocked loose. It was crushed. This significantly reduced your air flow, reduced dryer performance and was creating a fire hazard. Due to the tight space, it took nearly an hour to cut out the crushed section and reattach the remainder. If it hadn't been for your husband's assist, it would have been nigh onto impossible without removing the washing machine. You should be good to go, now. As promised to your husband, I sent you a 1-year reminder."
I would use them again if needed.

It is really obvious in my daughters room. Literally, the week before we had gotten the floors refinished. I'm super disappointed.
The area where he pulled my daughters bed out and there is HUGE scratch on our newly refinished floors. When he was trying to put the furniture back, I helped him, since I was unaware he was going to be moving furniture in the first place. Huge disappointment since the cost to buff out the floors is going to be much more than the service he provided. It was also very apparent on our dining room table area.
However, he was super friendly and helpful. Just did not take great care in moving furniture......and the cost to buff the floors to correct those areas is much more than his service.

Among the many things which were above and beyond, he refitted the duct between the dryer and wall with the proper vent elbows on both ends, and then he taped it, which I hadn't expected him to do at all. No chance any lint getting through that. He cleaned up after he was done, which I appreciated a lot. Once everything was done, I expected the bill to be much larger than it was, so was very pleasantly surprised at what he presented to me on the invoice. Nice! Best of all, I'm no longer terrified of causing a fire because of improper venting.
Would I call the Allergy Shop again? In a heart beat!

While doing the install, he handled getting all of the permits for James Island township. Our township also required that the unit be strapped down so he made sure to do that for us as well at no cost!

A few of the primary reasons I went with Norman at Allergy Shop are: good price (average), good value (10 year parts AND labor warranty on the system), vent cleaning included with Angie's List member (at the time) and I thought that really added value to the whole thing.
I don't know how the Goodman system will hold up (I've seen both very positive and very negative reviews of Goodman, however, I've also seen similar reviews with Lennox and others), however, having the 10 year warranty (parts and labor) really gives me a little more confidence. We'll see....so far, the system has run well for the last 2 months and I'm happy.

Dear Norman,
My wife and I want to thank you for the wonderful job you did cleaning the HVAC system and vents at the home into which we moved. Your technician, Bob, was very professional and efficient, polite and friendly, and an all around knowledgeable guy.
As you may recall, the previous tenants had two dogs and there was hair and dander blowing out of the vents and rolling around on the floor. After your service, we are happy to have clean, clear air coming out of the vents. The three systems are performing better as well with a much improved flow in each.
Also, thanks for the advice regarding the proper filters and your honesty in not selling us the permanent filters that I wanted since they would not have added anything more to the capabilities of the systems.
And, I appreciate the cleaning of the dryer vent to give us a fresh start.
