A Preferred Plumber

Dewey Jones is an excellent plumber and a man of integrity. He went above and beyond in providing technical expertise, customer service and follow-up support. He is direct, to the point and does quality work that surpasses any other plumber I have encountered. His character, reliability, plumbing expertise and knowledge were all absolutely incomparable. Typically, in my experience with contractor's for major home repairs there is a concern that an unsuspecting naive homeowner will fall victim to shoddy work by a professional who talks a good game. Mr. Jones performs at a level of excellence and integrity that is just that - superior in every way.

After performing the diagnostic and work described above, the individual who is designated as POA for the homeowner and occupant (an individual who lives out of state), insisted on locating a plumber who would provide the necessary repairs for a cheaper price. Mr. Jones respected these wishes and did not create discord between the individual controlling the purse strings of the life-long occupant of the home (a 92 year old pioneer of Summerville), and the person who has a power of Attorney for the residence. Mr. Jones was a delight to work with. As a female, I learned about what is required for plumbing upkeep and what happens when things go wrong or are put off.

My role: ensuring that a senior citizen was not living in third-world conditions because of the lack of appropriate response by the individual responsible for maintaining conditions of the home meet basic safety regulations.
As an unrelated third-party, witnessing a 92 year old with full mental and functional faculties enduring three weeks of raw sewage backing up into the home, including ultimately the kitchen sink (after the third "plumber/electrician" was dispatched), the feces in the bathtub was too much to stand idly by.

Prior to this, I did not have experience with plumbers and subsequently received the highest praise about Mr. Jones's plumbing work from individuals associated with the Master Plumbing Organization and two other professional organizations.

You can certainly find a plumber who will charge you less- but the cost of the shoddy materials, dodging permitting processes, failing to identify other issues and ultimately having to repair the same problem again aren't worth.the difference in dollar amount.

A preferred Plumber is pricey but he is very good at what he does. He is thorough, he is a master plumber, you never have to worry about what he is doing, he really knows what he is doing.

It went very well. He was fast and efficient. The price was quoted up front and his final price was exactly as stated.
