The owner did the sod work in May for $1300 or 4 1/2 pallets which he estimated. This went well. He sent the first load of ordered sod back as it was not the quality he wanted. The second shipment of sod was great. Everyone was on time I had a 1/2 of pallet of sod left over and it could not be taken back. My neighbors then were using this business for backyard landscaping and were dealing with the owner's wife. I decided to try them. The cost of the bed sized roughly around 12x14 was around $900.00 with 11 azaleas for the bed and 2 gardenia and rose tree for other places in the yard. I asked for red azaleas and got autumn sunset - I agreed to keep them. She said they were red but I found red at a local nursery. I asked for a red rose tree and got pink-this has not yet been discussed.. 4 azalea died. While she stated she would replace them - I did the replacement as she mentioned the azalea food that I gave them to put on them might have burned them out. I did not want any disagreements. The new azaleas I bought at WIngard's are doing just fine in the same holes. They were to clear some woods behind my fence. They have a $150.00 deposit. They have scheduled this work 3 times. They just don't show up. They were to be here on 7/24/13 per the owner's wife. They did not come or call. I know she will give my money back but I wanted the work done. I should have had her cost out each plant and labor as previous landscapers have done, but ignored as the grass went well. I went with the overall estimate. Be sure you have everything in writing as the communication can be inconsisternt
