Palmetto Dryer Venting

Bobby Bosko came out on two separate occasions to clean out my dryer vent line. He did an excellent job. The first time he found the vent line was disconnected and was unable to completely remove all the lint. After the line was reconnected Bobby returned and finished the job. He was very professional and did an excellent job. I would definitely hire him again.

David came to my home, was very professional. He diagnosed the problem with my dryer taking multiple cycles as a duct that needed to be cleaned. After his cleaning, a load of laundry that included 4 pairs of jeans was completely dry after 1 normal cycle lasting 41 mins. I would definitely recommend his services.

David did a great job. He was very professional and offered services at an very reasonable rate. Although we just needed a vent cap replaced, he asked to take the top off of the dryer just to make sure everything looked okay, which it did. He didn't try to upsell, which is appreciated. As a result of his thoroughness, I feel safer in my home.

He came out the next day.  David called at 1:00, just as he said he would do.  He was running a little behind and would be their in about 40min.  He arrived on time. First, he checked to see what was needed.  He explained it to me in detail  I was pleased with his explanation.  Then, he quoted the price.

Great. I was really unhappy to discover that the vent in our crawl space was vinyl. And it was blocked by lint. We have had this house for about ten years and I'm not sure the duct has even been cleaned. I considered this to be a fire hazard and did not want it cleaned, but replaced. Dave did a thorough job. We have owned our home for five years and had our dryer duct cleaned twice before. This time we used Palmetto Dryer.  David Matthews did an extremely through job. He found the duct to be partially obstructed. He took the time to go into the crawl space, separate the duct at several joints, and locate the problem. He found a sippy cup. This had been in the duct for at least five years. The previous owners had three small children. David Matthews was very professional and through. We highly recommend him and will use him again.

Palmetto Dryer Venting was on time for the appointment and very professional.  They checked the dryer and dryer vent for causes of overheating and clearly explained our problems and needed repair.  They gave us options and cost to fix the problem, Palmetto Dryer Venting replaced the air duct and hose for our dryer, that was out of code, for fire safety. Replaced the dryer outlet that was installed incorrectly by the previous service repair group.    My wife and I thought we would have to replace our dryer, but due to the detailed inspection and professional work completed by Palmetto Dryer Venting, our dryer has performed the best it has since we bought it new. We are very pleased with our decision to hire Palmetto Dryer Venting.

Highly recommended.  Called me back within a few hours, and made an appointment to come to the house the next day.  Showed up exactly on time, and was extremely professional and courteous.  In fact, he said the dryer duct was in pretty good shape, and I didn't really need to clean it at the moment and could probably wait a bit if I wanted.  Of course, that refreshingly honest advice goes against his immediate business interest in earning money, but it goes a long way towards earning a repeat customer and an excellent review on Angie's List.  Since he was at the house, I had him clean the ductwork anyway.  From start to finish, took about 90 minutes, and was totally thorough.  Very fair price for the service, I thought.

Arrived on time. Assessed the problem,. Made recommendations explained problem and how to correct it. Removed washer & dryer. Vacuumed lint & dirt. Replaced vent. Reset equipment. Tested dryer, worked perfectly! Thanks.

I recently had a friend who had a dryer fire, and found out during my annual termite inspection that my dryer vent was no longer attached, so I was very paranoid using the dryer.   Palmetto Dryer Vent was very good about returning e-mails to set up a visit, called on the scheduled day to say they were running a little late.   They showed up at the new time, and were very polite and professional.  They went under the house and inspected and photographed my existing vent system and made recommendations.  I agreed to the work, they started it immediately with one guy under the house removing the old vent and replacing it with new galvanized duct work. The second guy, the owner, took apart my dryer, including removing the drum, and thoroughly cleaned inside and out, and put it back together.  They checked air flow out the back of the house before leaving.  They cleaned up after themselves, also.  I was very impressed by their professionalism, and they were both very polite and conscientious.     He even said they will send out friendly reminders to have them come out and clean the vent annually, and gave a lifetime warranty on their work if the system is routinely maintained.    I am very happy with  their work and feel the price was reasonable, especially since I live far out in a very rural area and it is difficult to get service companies to come out.

Our dryer was taking way too long for each load. I called a dryer repairman, who charged me $60 to tell me that the problem was with the ducts and venting, and not with the dryer.
To deal with the vent problem, I looked on Angie's List and found Palmetto Dryer. I also checked P.D.'s website, which convinced me that they knew what they were doing. I called Dave and explained the problem. He came out to check the dryer and vents, and gave me an estimate. I accepted the price and we scheduled a Saturday appointment.
Dave and his assistant were prompt and completed the job in excellent time. The old flexible ducts were full of wet lint; they were replaced with galvanized ductwork, then Dave added a new cap and vent for the outside wall. The price may seem high to you, but our dryer is 19 feet from the outside wall, which required more materials than normal.
They also took apart the dryer and thoroughly cleaned the inside. Not only did they remove a bunch of lint, but Dave returned 96 cents in coins which had fallen inside the machine over the years!
The dryer now works like a charm. We can't believe how fast our laundry is getting done. The new ductwork will be much easier to clean and maintain than the old flexible duct.
