We met Jeff through Angies List and were needing a  home inspection prior to putting my late mothers home on the market. We came in from out of town and called Jeff. He was able to clear his personal schedule (it was the weekend) and do the inspection.
While we discussed the results, he gave us some great pointers on different agents who had experience with my mother's style of home and neighborhood. Because we listen to his advice, our agent was able to prevent us for making some costly renovations and ended up selling the home very fast for about 10% more that we anticipated. It was a very well spent $325.

Mr. Williams is very professional. His report was very through and he took the time to go over it with us item by item and with the pictures to ensure we understood what the issues were with the home. We were very pleased with the written report that he provided. His level of detail in his report allowed us to negotiate better with the purchase of our home. Overall, this was the best home inspection that we received.

Jeff was very thorough, and provided a lengthy list of what repairs needed to be done on the house. He gave us a two page list of 56 items, many of which were minor, but a few were major expenses. Those major expenses involved framing supports that were needed under the deck and rear porch as well as some supports needed under the house. These were structural/safety issues, so we were able, with Jeff's help, to negotiate with the Bank to receive credit.  Given that this was a short sale, and listed for sale "as is," we were not expecting much.  But with Jeff's assistance, we were able to get the full credit for these repair issues.  We highly recommend Jeff and will definitely use him again.

As an out of state purchaser, I was very concerned that we receive a thorough home inspection from a reputable individual.  Jeff provided that service well.  He spent approx. 4 hours going through the home and providing us with an extensive list of needed repairs. The list contained photos w/ arrows to illustrate problems.
 It was also helpful to receive several FYI type items listed: items which didn't need repair, yet he wanted us to know, e.g. there is obviously a pump required to pump basement bathroom wastewater out.
Following the inspection, Jeff spent a half hour on the phone w/ me, discussing each item, and describing which items he felt it were
 important for the homeowners to correct, vs. which items could probably be let go.
Overall, he was professional, took the time to discuss his report in detail, and was very helpful and understandable in his explanations. I would definitely recommend him to others, especially out of state buyers, like us.

Choice Custom Homes was referred to us by our realtor. After talking to
Jeff on the phone, we are grateful that our realtor referred him. We are
in Ohio and moving to SC, so everything has had to be handled over the
phone. Jeff took pictures and went over everything he found wrong with the house over the phone with us. Hoping that the sellers will fix the things that need repaired. We will definitely call Jeff to do a re-inspection on the house to make sure things were fixed properly.

I went to Angie's List for help in choosing a home inspector and decided on Choice Custom Homes.  I could tell from talking to Jeff on the phone that he was the right man for the job.  He was very professional and courteous, explained how he works, and gave me the price.  We set up an appointment and he was prompt.
Jeff did a thorough inspection and presented me with a notebook containing his findings.  He described every problem he found and included pictures that helped me see the problems easily.  
I really appreciated the job done and the thorough explanations of what I needed to take care of.  This inspection gave me the peace of mind to know that when I call a worker to fix a problem, I am completely aware of what needs doing.
I would definitely use Choice Custom Homes again if the need arose.

Very smoothly, though I had no direct contact. I asked my buyer's agent to retain Jeff and they scheduled the meeting at the house. By the time I met the agent an hour later, Jeff had been and gone, yet had left a detailed bound report with everything I needed to negotiate with the seller. I have only found one minor item that he did not.

Mr. Williams maintained a pleasant attitude throughout the inspection. This was a big help when he had to deliver negative news regarding our home. His professional manner made the report less difficult to accept. I would certainly recommend his services to anyone who needs a home inspection.

He was very professional, and did an extrememly thorough job, pointing out many things that other inspectors wouldn't have looked at. He was on time for both appointments, and sent a digital report, with pictures, with his findings immediately following the inspection. We were very impressed with his services.

Jeff showed up on time and was immediately ready to start. He answered and questions and then began his inspection. He spotted many things I hadn't seen including weak points in the wood paneling that was painted over. He went underneath the home and identified details such as the lack of reinforcement of a fire place underneath the home. He also identified inadequate reinforcements beneath the front entryway. He also identified some potential water damage along the ceiling that I would have chalked up to peeling paint. He also thoroughly inspected the attic and identified where the insulation didn't thoroughly cover some of the rooms in the corner of the home. At the end, Jeff returned to his truck and typed up his report, added the photographs where necessary, and presented me with a note book the same day. He walked me through each item and showed me each problem in his report that I had questions about. Outstanding work, I'd recommend him to anyone.
