It went excellent. They matched the existing cabinets. Good craftmanship and they worked on my old cabinets so I could get more utility out of them.

CCC refaced the cabinets in our kitchen and we couldn't be happier with the work! John completed most of the work himself and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with the job.

On September 22, 2015 we made a down payment with Cayce
Custom Cabinetry to renovate a bedroom into an office and reface cabinets in
two bathrooms. No work was done for 2 weeks due to extensive flooding and
property damage in this area, but the project was not finished until December
30, 2015..
Problems began on the day of installation with the first  cabinet, it would not fit thru the hall door,
although the business owner had previously made measurements. That cabinet had
to be taken back to his shop to be adjusted. Subsequently, other things also
had to be returned to his shop for adjustment. The two sets of double file
drawers were not wide enough to accommodate letter size files. Eventually he
returned and enlarged the opening in the cabinets and remade the drawer fronts.
The replacement drawer fronts are not large enough to cover the openings in the
cabinets and they do not fully close.
This and other things are unsightly and a constant reminder of the money
we spent and the unmet expectations.
There are numerous other substandard examples of poor
workmanship. We have had similar work done in the past at our previous home and
we know what standard of workmanship to expect.
The business owner is very friendly and pleasant,  however, his work is subpar. We can submit
photographs, if necessary, to substantiate our claims and the original
contract, if need be.  Our main concern
is that others are not misled by Angie?s List recommendations for this company.
Response from Cayce Custom Cabinetry
"Thank You very much for meeting me at your home and going over the areas where we failed to meet your expectations. You also shared with me and pointed out areas that are in obvious need of correction. You are right we should have never left them that way. I would love the opportunity to return and do whatever is necessary to fix these items."

We contracted with John as part of renovating our kitchen.  John was easy to work with and he and his crew performed work as needed over several visits to accommodate other kitchen renovation work (installation of new flooring, new countertops and delivery of new appliances).  While there were some defects in workmanship from fabrication in the shop and modification of the cabinet openings, these were corrected to our satisfaction on return visits.  Part of John?s work was to also repair and repaint the existing cabinets, which CCC used a subcontractor.  While this subcontractor?s work started out great, I expressed displeasure and concern to John over the quality of work being performed, including the inadequate repair of the existing cabinet damage.  John brought the paint contractor back to attempt to correct the issues but in the end John and his crew had to correct the issues themselves.  Overall we were very pleased with the work performed by John and his crew.  His price, professionalism and responsiveness were great and the quality good.  I downgraded quality slightly due to the noted issues and also punctuality due to the painters and CCC being late on several occasions.  I definitely would use CCC in the future, but only after agreement that a different painting sub be used.  I recommend them to others.

John came out a couple of times to give us esimates and ideas.
John did a wonderful job on the cabinet faces. When one face under the sink was about a half an inch to short he replaced it without question.
The guys woring for him were great.  It tok about three days due to the painting necessary but the job looked great.  We have a new kitchen now.

Whole kitchen area finished in about five weeks. Included installing molding and chair rail and/or baseboards in dining nook, back foyer and laundry. Professional job from estimate visit to final tweak. Worked well with other companies providing counter tops, painting and flooring. Can't say enough about how pleased I am with my new do. Owner and crew listened and HEARD what I wanted and provided it. Best of all  - the communication about schedules and timing was excellent -allowing me to continue my life without waiting on a crew to show up.

This company is extremely professional. They gave us a fair price, especially compared to the price from the closet places whose plans were not nearly as nice.. When a problem arose, like what to do about the heating vent, or a plug, John came up with a good solution. Once the job was done and the cabinet doors were on, our jaws dropped. This is a gorgeous installation. After the money was paid, I had a small issue and called. John always returns calls and e mails promplty and that continued after we paid. I would use Cayce Custom Cabinetry without hesitation. It is a top notch company

John exceeded my expectations in every respect. He is professional, responsive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond - even packaging up my old doors. His experience is evident and his knowledge of cabinetry makes me confident he could do any unique job. His prices were reasonable also.

John arrived with his two crew members and they completed the job in less than 1 1/2 hours.  They cleaned up and did a great job.  His price was $315.  The other quote I received, also from an Angie's list company, was $1100 for the exact job.  I knew that price was too high and John confored it with his reasonable price and excellent service.
I highly recommend him and will use him in the future as the need arises.

Great overall experience. I would definitely commend Cayce Custom Cabinetry.
Don't let the word "custom" scare you off because you think it will be too expensive!
