I am one of those guys that do this kind of thing myself. I am in process of a total home renovation but couldn't do this at the same time. I can not praise them enough about the fence or the people. Fantastic fence and exactly what I wanted with metal reinforcement on the gate . The guys and Gal that came out, worked hard completing the fence in two days, including tear down and haul off of the old one. Super nice and professional and when I get my retainer wall in they will get a call to do more. HIRE THEM!

They put the fence into the ground and when the thousand year rain came they came out (at my expense) to cut the fence so water would flow. They ruined my fence and came back once (not the owner to check the work) and fixed only three panels. My fence is ruined. I would never used them again and would never recommend this company to anyone. BE AWARE IF YOU USE THIS COMPANY!

They came out and gave an estimate, which was very reasonable. We had to add some square footage and they had no problem accommodating the change. Everyone we talked to were very professional. A year later our neighbors house was being built and the ground was loosen by the main post and fell. Shepherd came out and fixed this issue at no extra charge. We have now had our fence for 3.5 years and it’s just as steady as it was on day one. A couple of our neighbors went with a drive by night company that came by because they noticed a new community, and they all regret it. However, we do not. We are very impressed with the service and the job that was done!

It was easy to call to set up initial appointment. Person came when they said they would come. Mr. Shepherd knew exactly what I wanted. The price was reasonable. Work was done when they said it would be done. I'm very pleased with my new fence.

It went great! Work was done in a reasonable amount of time and done well. I was very pleased. Price was very reasonable, in fact, I was going to get other estimates but Louis's was quite fair I thought, so I didn't bother with anyone else. Also, checked with my neighbor who is on the other side of the fence and he was very happy with the result. James and Houston did fine work( I hope that I got their names right).

The team at Sheppard Fence was prompt and precise in their estimate and completion of the project. They worked well with a stonemason that I used on the project and constructed a very sturdy and nice looking mechanical gate with woodwork on the metal frame. The gate looks great and works extremely well. I would not hesitate to use Sheppard Fence again.

Mr. Bass came out and took measurements. I had estimate within 2 days. Work was delayed due to weather conditions, but they kept me informed. Very happy with work.

They did a great job and a year later they came back to do some adjustments free of charge. They also replaced a few boards. Great experience compared to what I experienced with Elite Fencing several years ago. Would recommend Shepherds to anyone.

The folks at Shepherd Fence promptly gave us an estimate, which was less than that we got from Lowe's. They installed the fence on the day that we requested and did a great job. There were lots of oak tree roots that they needed to deal with and a concrete driveway. We were quite pleased.

They did exactly what was asked and for the price quoted ( which was very competitive). My fence looks fantastic and they left my yard free of all debris.

We called many fencing companies trying to get some estimates for our fence needs. Shepherd was one of only two that responded at all. They were here to do an estimate when they said they would. They provided a written estimate via email when they said they would. They adjusted it to our needs in a timely manner. They were accommodating to our other contractors schedules and arrived on the date we agreed on and installed the fence with not a single issue. The fence crew were efficient, effective, hard working and informative. No issues at all.

My privacy fence was in bad shape - one side was falling apart, the back and other side were in not so great shape and both the right and left front section gates were sagging and were difficult to open.  Shepherd's gave me a quote to repair the entire fence but we chose to just do the one side and the fronts.  The estimated two days to complete due to having to set fence new posts.  They started on a Thursday and completed the side section and tore down and started the fronts.  They were unable to return on Friday due to a problem with their truck but returned Monday first thing to complete the job.  This was a little bit of a pain for me as I have dogs that I had to accompany outside for their bathroom trips.  Overall I was very pleased with their work.  Price was reasonable ($1400.00), they seemed very knowledgeable, cleaned up after themselves and the fence looks great.  Aside from their truck issue and a sprinkler line getting cut during a post hole dig (I fixed that) was that there was some confusion about the fence design.  The design they used (board-on-board) was not what I felt I had initially described that I wanted but the result looks great and in the end saved me money.  So my suggestion would be to spend a little extra time going over the design - I think we were both a little to blame there.  Very happy and will definitely use them again.  Very nice people too.

Day one: Removed most of the pickets, crossbeams, and some posts. Day two: Delayed arriving. No courtesy call. Struggled with removing some of the posts due to them being buried so deep. Decided to cut them off flush with the ground. Day three: Finished trimming down old posts. Dug holes for new posts. Put in all of the posts, securing them with a concrete footing. Day four: Installed 90% of the crossbeams and slats. All slats were cut to fit. This was super impressive. I really appreciated this attention to detail. Day five: Finished the fence. Built and installed the gates. Finished all of the cleanup.

Came on the scheduled date to remove old fence and install new posts, next day finished most of the installation of the new fence, had an issue with one of the gates, finished the whole job on the third day.

Quote: The first appointment to receive a quote had to be rescheduled due to Wayne's vehicle breaking down. He promptly called to let me know he wouldn't be able to make the appointment. The quote was rescheduled with Brandy and went well. Wayne discussed best places to place the fence, things to watch out for, and different materials that could be used. I received a quote very quickly with three different materials as Wayne and I had discussed. Throughout the entire pre-work process Brandy was very quick to respond to emails and was extremely helpful.
Installation: There was an initial delay in installation due to the mass flooding that hit the Midlands area early October. Therefore, the work was rescheduled to begin a week after the flooding on Tuesday the 13th. However, no one came to start work on Tuesday or Wednesday. On Wednesday afternoon I contacted Brandy to inquire as to why the work had not begun as scheduled. She then apologized for the delay and said there was a delay in receiving the materials due to the flooding. The work was then rescheduled for the upcoming Friday. Late Friday morning Brandy emailed me to let me know that due to a family emergency they would not be able to make it out but would start Monday for sure. I thanked her for notifying me in a timely manner. The installation then began Monday as planned. Wayne, Ruby, and another gentleman (sadly I don't remember his name) were extremely pleasant and worked quickly and efficiently. Whenever they ran into a section where they had questions they made sure to ask me before moving forward. The work was initially quoted as taking 2-3 days but was actually completed in 1.5 days. They did an excellent job clearing out the clay that resulted from the post digging and cleaning up after themselves in general.
Conclusion: Wayne and the crew at Shepherd Fence did an excellent job installing the fence at my home. Brandy was extremely responsive to emails and was a pleasure to work with. With the amount of scheduling conflicts that came up, this very easily could have been a bad experience. Brandy and Wayne did a great job of communicating with me to make sure things went smoothly.  I would highly recommend Shepherd Fence for any fencing needs!
