Scott did a fantastic job, and I highly recommend his services. Due to the location of the hive, the best way to remove it was from inside the home (to avoid damage to my house). Not only he went the extra mile to protect the carpet and surrounding areas, he has very throughout in explaining what the procedure entailed and made sure that me and my family will feel the least impact possible.
Thanks Scott, you really helped us!
Owner Scott Derrick personally answered the phone within five rings after I selected him from numerous companies listed on Bees-on-the-net.com and Angie's List. The outside second level of our home was being swarmed by honey bees and I was in need of a professional to remove and save them. I had already killed three that entered the master bathroom through a vent fan and several more had penetrated the lower level screened in porch.
Scott provided me with his itinerary and responded to my residence, some 30 miles away, within three hours. He advised me when he was within five minutes of arriving. He discussed with me the nature of honey bees and concluded that we had a small group of and quot;scoutsand quot; looking for a nesting area for the entire swarm. He checked the second level of the home as well as the attic and concluded the locations were secure. He then caulked the facia board to prevent further intrusion and checked the associated roof area and chimney.
Scott is a good Christian man whose prices are fair and reasonable. He had a helper with him and both worked diligently. I have no reservation recommending Scott and his company for this type situation.
I was quoted a price and told that he could come out the next day (Friday afternoon) to remove the colony. The 2:30 p.m. appointment was confirmed.
Scott was running late, as he had an earlier removal that took longer than expected. Scott telephoned to let me know that he was running late and should be at my residence about 3:30 to 4:00 p.m. or so. He and his assistant arrived around 4:00 p.m.
Scott and assistant were both very professional, pleasant and knew what they were doing. Immediately located the bee colony, explaining details to me, went to work, videotaped the colony, removed the bees. Scott's assistant even took pictures for me, using my camera.
Scott had initially said it would probably take up to 3 hours to remove the colony. I think it took approximately 2 hours. I hope I never have another bee colony at my residence, but if I do, I certainly would call Blythewood Bee Company.
Highly recommend!
"Customer, Thanks so much for taking the time to give us feedback. We'll correct the problem with clean up for the future. Again thanks so much for your feedback. It's very much appreciate. Scott Derrick"
"Thank you so very much for your feedback on our work. We try very hard to not only solve a problem but to educate the customer as we go. We very much hope that you won't ever need our service again but if you do we are here for you."
