The result was fine but prices were higher than I thought reasonable. Clients are sent upstairs to wait while color is processing, which is okay for me but for some the stairs might be a problem. Upstairs you will find coffee, water and sweets. The resident dog is a Pit Bull which, again, didn't bother me but I think some, especially if small children are involved, might find uncomfortable or a poor choice. The ceilings are high, resulting in a loud environment. Not terrible, but it is loud. Depending upon time of day, parking can be challenging.

It took me a few tries to find the "right" place to get my hair colored and styled after moving to the area. Finding Salon Karma ended my search. Andrew cuts and colors my hair, and he is fabulous! He is always on time, listens to what I want, takes time to explain what he thinks about it and what will or will not work. Has great recommendations as to style and products, too. Definitely a rarity!! Plus, he's an all around great guy with a great personality.

The stylist was very professional. Took much time to discuss texture of my hair and color that she thought would be good for my complexion and the type of cut. The end result was extremely pleasing. Comments favorable and all agreed the color was better than I had. Salon is very peaceful, clean and nicely decorated. I do think that the salon is on the high side in pricing, but the old adage, "you get what you pay for" is in effect for this company.

At first this place seemed great my color looked good and was what I asked for. They were able to get me an appointment within a week. I left what I think is an appropriate tip ($30 on a $120 bill, if this is a poor tip it could explain the issues I had later on). For the second appointment I called about a week before and was told that they were all booked up and the only way to get me in before 2 weeks was to have a service without a blow-dry. This I thought was fair, perhaps they are just a busy place. At this appointment I observed what I had thought was a lazy cutting technique that causes terrible split ends (from what I had been told by some stylist friends). I was right. within a week my hair was a mess. Easy fix, just ask the girl not to use that technique again. At the end of this second appointment I had learned my lesson about scheduling early and set up an appointment before I left. This is where I gave up on salon karma. I had a personal emergency and the day before the appointment I called to reschedule. This was about 4:00pm to reschedule a 12:00pm the next day. The woman on the phone was resistant to changing the appointment and even cited a "24 hour cancelation policy" which I assume is some punishment for missing the deadline by 4 hours. She went on to tell me that there were no available times within the next few weeks and would have someone call me back to figure something out. This was 10 days ago. I have yet to receive that call or a new appointment.

I called twice - the first time I did not receive a return call. The second time I was told she was not taking new clients, even though I had been to her before. Very disappointing.

This company is Excellent,i will keep using them.
