Above all else, Jeff and his crew are good people. They are honest, punctual, polite, responsive, and hard working. We had a very short time frame to renovate 3 upper bathrooms (2 large, 1 normal) in an ocean-front rental property. Once engaged, throughout the planning and construction, Jeff was methodical, prepared, competent, and without pause completed our project...well ahead of schedule, and with exceptional results. Using Jeff's contacts for cabinets and glass was also helpful. A word of advise; Jeff's team works fast! Make sure you have everything on site prior to work beginning. I plan on using Jeff and his team again.

Jeff and his two full-time assistants were a delight to work with. They were always on time, cleaned up after themselves, moved and replaced furniture. I would highly recommend Jeff and his team. The were a pleasure to work with.

Jeff has now completed multiple remodeling projects for me over the course of the last four years. He now has refurbished four bathrooms for our home in Hilton Head. This year we ran into a mold problem that was preexisting due to significant flooding from a washing machine overflow a couple of years ago. The problem needed to be first investigated; Jeff did that. The solution included repairing the main flooring in the house which was significantly damaged due to the mold. I live in Pennsylvania, so I need frequent and clear communications with him during the renovation project. I always felt Jeff was fair and on time with his work project and that he had my back when other contractors (i.e., the mold guys) arrived. I highly recommend Jeff.

It was absolutely delightful having Jeff as our general contractor! Our villa is over 30 years old and had never been updated; it needed a lot of work to get it back up to date. We were reluctant to have this amount of work completed from afar (Ohio) but Jeff assured us that he would be in continual contact with us throughout the process. He communicated with us via texts, computer and telephone providing pictures of every aspect of the job. He kept us continually apprised of any issues and offered many excellent suggestions along the way. At first, we wanted to inspect the work half way through but found that we were feeling comfortable enough to allow him and his crew to complete the job before we came down to inspect. I must say that the results were even more impressive than we could have ever imagined. Jeff completed the job on time even with small changes we made along the way. His estimate for his labor was just as advertised and did not have any surprises. We understood that material costs were separate from his estimate and that he would provide pickup for any material and supplies that we had purchased. We cannot express how grateful we are to Jeff and his crew for all of their quality workmanship!

Jeff Ballard and his guys are AWESOME!!!! Jeff walked me through every step of the process. He was always on time and although it is a messy job having two bathrooms completely demolished and redone, he and his crew were so neat and conscientious of protecting floors and furniture. Jeff and his crew did an excellent job! He kept us informed through the whole process with pictures, texts and e-mails. The work was high quality, finished on time and exceeded our expectations. He coordinated with our decorator and came in on budget. We would highly recommend!!

Jeff was great to deal with and did a great job in tearing out my fiberglass shower and installing a tile shower. He was easy to reach before, during and after the job, and submitted a fair estimate very quickly. Jeff was personally onsite during most of the job and was easy to discuss project details with. He dealt with the quirks of the original construction quickly and efficiently. He and his crew did a great job, as neatly as possible, and we're very happy with the result. While he was not the lowest bid, his price was competitive and I appreciated his personal responsiveness and involvement... RECOMMENDED

Wow, can't say enough good about Jeff. He not only did wonderful work, but he kept in touch with us the whole time (made more challenging by the fact that we were out of state in Ohio while he was working in South Carolina). Constant and welcome text updates and photos. Everything that he said he could do, he did. Always on time (yes...truely) and he was quite honest about what he could not deliver and work that we should sub out to a different contractor. Nothing that he did himself, would he allow to be second rate. The few minor issues (and we have done many prior remodels....there are always minor issues) he and his guys have been right there, on time, and up front with getting done what needed to be done.

Excellent work, Can't express enough what a great experience it was working with Jeff and his crew. Throughout the process we were out of town and this was no problem. Jeff is extremely thorough and keeps you up to date with emails and pics. Our neighbors also complemented his crew on their professionalism. Jeff's recommendations were spot on as well. He hooked us up with some great suppliers and they worked seemlessy together making our lives much easier. We have a kitchen remodel coming up and we only have to make one phone call when we're ready. Jeff is the only contractor we wish to work with. We only hope he's available. If not, we'll wait.

His crew is always punctual, and leaves work area orderly each day. He does not use sub-contractors. Both projects were completed on schedule, in spite of some delays in materials delivery by vendors. Highly recommend.

Excellent. Jeff is very good at communicating and staying in touch. He did great work, and was easy to work with. Good give and take on items where we wanted something a bit different. We had previously worked with many contractors 6 years ago on a full home remodel. I never said to any of those contractors what I said to Jeff at the end of the job: " It was a pleasure working with you".

I can not say enough good things about Jeff and his team.  Because we did not have to subcontract out the work, the work was completed quickly and efficiently.  We were never waiting on someone to show up to get the job done.  To make it more challenging,  we live abroad and were only here for the first week and the last week of the 5 week project.  His estimate of the time and the budget to complete the work were 100% respected!  Jeff's communication is impeccable.  He kept us informed every step of the way via text, email, FaceTime and photos.  To say that he is conscientious is an understatement!   Jeff was extremely respectful of our budget and made great suggestions for how to make the most of it!  Undertaking home renovations can be a daunting process.  You could not find a better partner for the process than Jeff Ballard

Jeff was on time for both his estimate appointment and construction of shower. He and his employee were very professional and cleaned up after each day. We went to Datile to pick put the tile and then he installed it.  The installation of the shower doors was subcontracted out but we were again very pleased with their work and the time it took from beginning to end.  The cost was exactly as he had estimated.

I was interested in renovating two bathrooms in a beach home we own in South Carolina in early January. I met Jeff Ballard in mid January at my beach home, he promptly provided an estimate and he was hired within a week.  The challenge for me was that I live out of state and was concerned how I could manage this renovation and inspect the project as it progressed, as it was unlikely that  I was going to be able to visit my beach home during the renovation.   When I hired Ballard Construction in mid January, I indicated that the project needed to be completed by the end of March.  The project (both bathrooms) came in on time and on budget.  Jeff was very professional, kept me in the loop constantly, including text and emailed photographs of his progress.  If he had any questions or comments (same for me), we emailed, texted and called frequently.   I found Ballard Construction through Angies List because (not being from the area), I didn't have a list of recommended contractors in the area from others.  He was already highly rated on Angiies List so I decided to go forward based on his high ratings.  Everyone who previously reviewed Jeff on this site was spot on.  He is very capable, very courteous, very professional and the project looks great.    I give Jeff Ballard my highest recommendation!

Very professional. Extremely responsive to initial inquiry. Work was excellent, done in promised time frame. He even did some extra things to make it look better without increasing quoted cost. Kept me posted via text, email and phone calls. While this work can create a lot of dust and dirt, me covered and cleaned up well. Was a pleasure to work with and wouldn't hesitate to call again if I need more work.

Absolutely perfect. Jeff came out and took a look at the condo we purchased (which hadn't been updated since the 70s). He took the time to listen to our thoughts of what we wanted it to look like. He prepared a quote within a few days. His quote was a bit below the other contractors we met with and far more detailed. I was overwhelmed with the scope of the project (and the fact that I live in another city), but Jeff walked us through it and was supportive and responsive during each step. He told us what materials he needed by which dates and made recommendations when asked. He met every deadline we had agreed to, sometimes even ahead of schedule. He sent us pictures on a regular basis and gave us updates without having to ask him. I could not be any happier with the level of professionalism Jeff demonstrated.  I visited a few times during the remodel and his team members I met were friendly, hard-working and professional as well. The quality of work performed exceeded my expectations and it was completed at a very fair price. I would highly recommend Jeff to anyone needing a contractor. I just wish he could do work at my other home in Charlotte! He also happens to be one of the nicest people I've ever met. I really enjoyed working with him. Of any provider I've ever had do work on any home I've owned, Jeff has been the best. Thank you Jeff!

He was excellent! He gave advanced notice of time he would arrive and was always there on time. The project went quickly and was done in the time he promised. He is a perfectionist with his work. He keeps you informed on what he is doing and when. Considering the demolition there was no sign of mess. He cleaned up everything and covered furnature and floors in adjacent hallway and bedroom. Painting was excellent. His tile installation was remarkably perfect. I could not find anything to be critical about. He is going to remodel our master bath in February.

We were pleasantly surprised. Jeff and his crew arrived everyday on time or before. He started on the exact date he gave us and finished on the given time he gave us. Never had that ever happened with us with other contractors. He went above and beyond what we expected. We would highly recommend him. Great job!
