The lady at input did experience the problem that we had. She referred us to the Service Department, She said that the problem was often a sticky button. The Service Department called and said that they didn't recommend doing anything since they did not experience any issues (apparently the person at input didn't count for anything). We called back and asked got an estimate anyway. The service person again called back and said that he really didn't want to do the work. When we talked to the manager, he was rude and unhelpful, Lesson learned! We will now have to go an addition 1/2 hour for repairs, but it will be well worth it.

I had stopped by to look at a car and a salesman took me 'around the block' to try it out. I wanted to try it longer than that. They generously loaned me one for as long as I needed it while they did an oil change and tried to find out what is causing a noise-- It cost me $20 in gas plus the cost of the oil change. I drove the car all over town, tried it in my garage, parked on the street and went grocery shoping. Very personable and nice guys in both service and in the new/used car dept. I couldn't have been more pleased.

This was a 90,000 mile tune-up, after my service light had gone on. I've been going to Hilton Head Honda for years and before this experience they have been very good. Their customer service people are very professional and friendly, however, I was somewhat disappointed with the outcome this time, especially when I asked H and H Auto to do a comparative billing and their estimate was $60 less than Hilton Head Honda for the work that had been performed, and about $400 less for the entire bill and estimate of the recommendations included.
Expecting good work from them since I had always been satisfied in the past, I told them to go ahead and do the work. I told
them I was aware that I needed four new tires and that I would be buying some shortly. I told them I had purchased oil from them recently to do an oil change myself but had never gotten it, so there was oil in the trunk for their use. When I got the estimate, it showed that they were going to rotate the tires. Since I had already told them I would be buying tires shortly, there was no need for them to do that -- in their estimate they even included the proposed cost of new tires so they should have been aware that would be an unnecessary service.
I called as soon as I got the estimate and told them to hold off on the work. I even went by on my way to Savannah over the weekend and told them NOT to do the work until I could talk to them about the additional work they recommended because I was considering buying the tires. The woman I spoke to said she would tell them to hold off right away, but when I called on Tuesday, they said it had already been done.
When I asked the woman at customer service why the bill was so high, she said, "Well, they had to rotate the tires, also." I told her that I didn't NEED that done. I asked them to take that off the bill, and it turned out to be only $20 of it, which they did refund. They also did not use the oil I had already purchased so I had to pay for that again.
On the plus side, as I said, their employees are very personable and professional. They also gave me a loaner vehicle for the duration of the repair and even a week or so after, because I was having health issues and couldn't get out there to pick up my car. They did start to get a little nasty about that even though I explained that I am on disability and suffering from a chronic pain condition which was flaring up terribly at that time.
