Where do I start? They were punctual a courteous. Unfortunately, the project was not done in the time frame they assured me it could be done. They did not have enough materials to complete the project. They insisted they were paid in full before the project was complete because they were going out of town. They hounded my wife for the final half of the check before the project was complete. They went to her job.
On the side of the house is were my family keeps the trash can and any thing that needs to go out for the trash man. There was a broken 6ft folding table on the side of the house. They placed pine straw around the house for landscaping and buried the broken table underneath instead of moving the lightweight table or asking us to move it. My wife called and asked why they buried it and they said they thought we wanted the dilapidated table that was also destroyed by the elements during the week. Even if we did want it why bury it? After the work was complete they wanted to maintain the yard as there flagship yard because we were the first in our neighborhood. I declined. After a few weeks of the yard not turning green and looking beautiful all the way around I hired the the landscaper that maintains my sub divisions common areas. He saw the work and told my I had been ripped of. He even waited for garden medic to come to the house and explain themselves. It was not pretty. The neighborhood yard man fixed all the patches in the yard, killed the grubs and cut my grass bi weekly. The yard is nice now. I was not satisfied with their final product at all. A waste of money. I almost had to pay just as much to get it ripped up and done all over. Needless to say I did not recommend them to anyone in the neighborhood and have not seen them out there. Beware to anyone interested in Garden medic. The quote they initially give will be thousands more. I will not use them again or refer them. In the end they tried to blame my wife who has no garden experience. It was over all terrible quality. I think the project was out of their skill set.

They were initially quick to answer the phone but after the first few calls they were not. The first time we were scheduled they cancelled because the forecast called for 100 % rain but no one called me to tell me that they cancelled. After I waited an hour and 30 minutes someone finally returned my message and apologized stating the weather was just going to be too bad. It never did rain. The second time they were supposed to come, I finally got someone to call me back 3 hours late and they apologized that they had mistakenly scheduled me for the next Friday. The third time they did show up promptly. I had understood that I would get 4 hours of work from 2 people, however, they worked for 2 hours and there was a little 20 minute rain shower and they loaded their stuff up and left. I asked them to clear part or our lot back to a lagoon, which they did cut down everything but I found a large pile of debris left there even though I paid the extra $45 haul away fee. I am new to the south and not familiar with the plants here and expected the "Garden Medics" to know the difference between weeds and flowers that had yet to bloom, they didn't know anything. When they had loaded up their tools and the rain had stopped I asked if they had finished what was on my list and they said yes but I would've added more to get the 4 hours of work.

All I will say is that it was a very bad experience and Anthony Farris at Garden Medic knows that. I will never purchase another Angie's List Big Deal and will always be skeptical of the information and recommendations I see in Angie's List.
Response from Garden Medic
"I do apologize for any bad experience you had with our company. The Bid Deal was purchased April 18th and it was not spread until the beginning of June. I understand that a month and 1/2 is a while to wait. Unfortunately, we were just starting to get very busy, which is typical of that time of year. We have improved our scheduling procedures so that this does not occur in the future."

This a provider that insists upon a yearly service contract at a cost of $100.00 per month. The owner of this service has little or no contact with the homeowner nor does he check in with the homeowner to see if he is satisfied with the services. His workers speak little or no English so that communication with this provider is difficult . The services are provided in a timely way each week and the workers do provide provide quality service such shrub trimming and edging of the landscape beds and other areas. My chief complaint is the necessity to pay $100.00 per month during the months between November and April when no grass cutting is required and the provider performs very little in services during this time span.

Everything went very smoothly. Two very hard workers came and dug up and replanted three 5 feet tall Sego plants. The men, one was named Lefty, worked non stop in the wretched heat. They were courteous and professional. I thought the fee was very reasonable. I've scheduled another visit to have them repair my sprinkler system.

Garden Medic did consistently top quality work. I was impressed that the owner of the company (Anthony) was frequently on the job, not just supervising, but working. His crews are well trained, professional and personable. What impressed me most about Anthony vs. his competitors was that he showed up for my initial estimate, looking like he had been working in yards all day! He looked like he was here to work. The other thing that impressed me was that he had a clear vision for my yard. Finally, in price, he beat the nearest competitor by $35.00 per month. I gladly refer Garden Medic to anyone in the low country.

Their service cost $200 a month. He is a nice guy. They do a good job. They do what they say they are going to do, which is nice.

They were knowledgeable in the field. They had a large number of crew members. Their customer service skills were excellent.
