They were the most expensive (by $2,000) for the project but I chose them anyway. Their employees that removed the existing insulation left an absolute MESS throughout the house! The second day, the outside contract crew that actually blew in the foam insulation had to clean up the previous days mess. Three weeks later I am still picking up pieces of both the old and new insulation throughout the house and I had to repaint around the window that they brought their blowing hoses through!

My kitchen pipes were freezing on cold nights. I was always cold in the winter months and hot in the summer despite adjusting my thermostat and my system constantly running. Also, my electric bills were much too high for a small house. I called Carolina Energy, and they found the problem immediately. Despite state inspections, my three year old house had no insulation in certain parts of the attic, especially above my kitchen where my pipes were. They were very professional and knowledgeable, always punctual, did an excellent job and cleaned up afterwards. I was impressed with them from the beginning and would recommend them to anyone needing insulation work.

I hired these folks to install spray foam insulation in the attic. On the scheduled service date, the technicians showed up 2 hours late and didn't bother to give us a courtesy call until I called their office to find out if they were going to show up. When the techs arrived (from Charlotte), they immediately started laying plastic from the front sidewalk through the front door, up the stairs to the attic access. They even taped the plastic to the concrete sidewalk! We were impressed with their prep work. When they were ready to start spraying we left to the hotel. When the work was done (approx 3 hours later), they called and said they were finished and leaving. When we got home to check, the door was locked and the only evidence that they were even there was the mild chemical odor upstairs in the hallway and some dirty handprints on the attic access hatch (I had to repaint it). Next day, we came home to find the chemical odor was completely gone. The difference this work made to the upstairs temperature is nothing short of amazing, and I wish we had this work done sooner. I intend to have them come back to install this foam in the FROG attic too. My only disappointment with these guys is the lack of customer service communications on the day the work was scheduled. If you are going to be late, then call and tell me. Don't leave your customers hanging for 2 hours not knowing if you are going to show up or not. Other than that, we are pleased with the results.

Very good experience from the initial visit, the pricing, scheduling, and installation. I selected this company because I could tell they were honest and not trying to use any high-pressure sales tactics. Their competitor was just the opposite and wanted almost 3X the $$ for the same job.

The installation was installed in my enclosed porch. There was some confusion when I met with the sales representative as to when the job would start. I must say the owner contacted me and made sure the job was started and completed as promised. The workers Ed and John were excellent (hard workers). Great Job Guys!!!

The spray foam insulation was supposed to be 3.5 inches thick, level with the studs. The foam is not uniform, however, with parts being anywhere from 1-3.5 inches. It was very uneven. Not what I expected for the money. The man admitted that he was worried that he would run out of chemical so he made sure he got some coverage on all the walls.
