Chris Dempsey came out on time and fixed all in short order. He also
programmed the car remote buttons. He was courteous and knew what he was
doing. An overall great experience with a service worker.

The service was provided the same day. The technician came at the exact appointed time - in fact, I was late and he had to come back. It was a simple fix - but he stayed to provide additional services - lubricating all the moving parts. I was impressed in every regard. I was told ahead of time what the charge would be for the service call - plus parts as necessary. I spoke with the gal who answered the phone three times - she was delightful.

I had found a steel nut on the floor of my garage and the door seemed to be operating roughly. When I called, I was able to have service on the same day which was a nice surprise since I did not want to park inside the garage until this was fixed. The door was repaired, lubricated, and in good working condition with a short amount of time. The serviceman was professional, knowledgeable, and very pleasant as he showed me what had happened. I would call them again if the need arose.

The sales person, Jim Dixon, could not have been more helpful and pleasant to work with.
Our homeowners' association is very strict about the color and model of door required, and he went out of his way to help us in our color selection. Unfortunately, the association and their guidelines did not match what we chose, so the process was delayed several weeks, until we could finally take delivery of the door and have it installed. Building Specialties, even gave us a sample panel to take to our Association Office to show the true color of the door we had ordered, and held the door until we could get approval to have it installed.
Building Specialties of Carolina were patient with us as we worked through the process, and when they did finally install the door, it went smoothly. The gentleman who did the installation, was efficient and knowledgeable, and gave us valuable tips on how to maintain the efficiency of the door and operating system.
He took the old door and materials, and left us with a clean garage. The entire process as far as Building Specialties was concerned was stress free.

I contacted this company via e-mail from an advertisement. I had a call the next business day and set up an appointment for their personnel to drop off a catalog and go over their products. I received pricing via e-mail within a week. Their prices on a high quality CHI garage door were competitive with a lower quality door from another company.
After choosing a couple of doors and getting new quotes, we decided on a door and had it ordered. We put 50% down and were told it would take two weeks. Our install was scheduled for Friday September 21st. When they did not show up as scheduled, I called and was connected to the owner. He apologized and told me the date of the 21st was on the order but it was inadvertently added to the calendar for Monday the 24th. This incident was the only negative of the project.
We reset the install date to the 28th and the installer showed up within the time specified and started to work. Another installer showed up within an hour to help assemble the new door and then left. The whole job was completed within 5 hours. The door is beautiful and quiet. We are very happy with the quality of work and the product.
I would recommend Building Specialties for garage doors and would use them again in the future.
