It's very personal because they own their own company. I think that's the biggest thing about living here, it just makes it a lot better because you are face to face with the person that needs that money to live on. So they do the best that they possibly can. And they understand your needs better. My husband was the one who dealt with them, but he was very happy. He was here for 4 hours in one day. I have nothing to compare the price to.

Everybody that we have used here is very personal because they are own their own businesses. Very different from a large city. They're just great. They know what they are doing, and they do it. We had a hurricane in the middle of everything and trees were all over the place. It took longer than it was supposed to, but it wasn't their fault.

Very professional and detailed oriented. Go above and beyond on cutting our grass (like blow leaves and pick up plant debris after storms). Extremely impressed with workers professionalism...we will be using each month and for bigger jobs!

I told her I would pay the bill in installments due to the amount of it and she subsequently sent me invoices that did not reflect payments madeI started using Sweetgrass Landscaping in June of 2012, I fired them in January of 2013, during that time I paid them about $8000 for an initial clean up and regular maintenance of about two clear acres of lawn.
It was fine at first. Lucy initially came to the house and explained to me that they visit every customer monthly to check on work being done and address concerns, etc. I never saw her again until I called four months and said that I didn't want to continue to have leaves blown around in my woods and that it was counter productive to blow leaves to the edge of the marsh when they would blow back again within seconds of the first breeze. She came to the house and discussed this with me but then the workers began blowing more leaves in the woods. The whole point was that I didn't want to pay for leaves to be blown around in the woods! It seemed as if they wanted to make sure they worked as many hours as they could and more in the winter when there was less that needed to be done. The employees themselves were very hard working and responsive, but when they arrived they sat in their trucks for up to twenty minutes and then I was billed for that time. I kept a record of the times they arrived and left and actually worked, when those times didn't agree with the times stated on the bill, Lucy got huffy and said no one had questioned her workers before. The workers also would take yard trash to the dump, leave one truck here while they hauled it in another and I paid $45 each time for them to take the trash and come back here to retrieve their other truck when perhaps it could have been taken on their way somewhere else with good planning. Since I live on many wooded acres, it was not necessary to have much hauled to the dump and at the end they were collecting leaves in the woods in trash bags and charging me to take those to the dump while several big branches that had come down in a storm sat on the lawn without being touched.
No weed control was ever used and now my grass is a mess, the crepe myrtle trees were not pruned when they should have been, nor were the oleanders and they are wild and unsightly. When I told Lucy that I wasn't going to use their services any more she sent me a final bill for $985 for December through mid-January. The word that comes to mind here is and quot;churning!and quot; When I asked her to review that final bill in regard to the times she stated on her bill vs. the times I had recorded in my journal, she refused to do so. When I made payments, they were not reflected in the continued billing and when I informed her that I was not going to make the final payment unless the other payment was credited she told me I was being rude!

Response from Sweetgrass Landscaping
"Not sure how someone can review us so negatively when their bills are not paid on a timely basis? Also during the winter months and all holidays we never missed a service but always got a complaint about boys doing to much clean up! How can this be negative? And we still have not been paid for service in December and January. This customer stated she would pay in installments and we have received 1 since January!"
