Listed with Laura Dahl who seemed to be the person to sell my home. She was the broker in charge of her own company when we first listed. Mid way through our contract she sold her company to Coldwell Banker Platinum partners. This is when things went sour. Laura lost her ability to work with sellers like she was bale to in the past. Platinum Partners really did me over when I brought a buyer to the table, they then gave him to a different agent so that they could collect a larger commission. When he submitted a much lower offer than the asking price I asked Laura to come down on her commission. She was unable to because she was no longer the broker in charge(BIC). The BIC would not budge on the commission although they expected me to come down $20,000. Laura ended up advising me not to sell. The buyer was a cash buyer and my only serious bite. I still have the home and still throw away $1700 a month because it sits empty. Additionally, Laura advised me to update the house with improvements totaling $35,000 assuring me it would sell if we did them. Not such good advice in a housing market like this one!
