Ehrlich Pest Control

On the first visit to the attic, the technician stepped on the ceiling and popped a drywall seam. We both took pictures and agreed to file a claim. Ten weeks later, the claim was denied saying we have no proof that the damage was caused by the tech. We paid $375 to repair and repaint the ceiling. We were sitting in the room below at the time the tech caused the damage and heard the loud crack of the ceiling and watched the drywall dust float to the floor. We could have at the very least gotten a refund for the $225 paid for two visits. My husband and I called the tech 3 times to arrange the second visit that we had already paid for.

We had used Jones Pest Control Inc. for many years without any problems.  Our termite bond came up for renewal this year and we were notified in writing it was time for retreatment, there was no "blanket price" for all structures and they offered to come out and meet with the customer to discuss the cost and "strategy".  I called and requested the manager, Neil, come out, look at our residence and provide an estimate of the costs of retreatment and annual warranty costs.  Siobhan, the office assistant, said "no need, he has already calculated the cost of the treatment,  I have your file here,  We are familiar with your residence and he has already diagrammed the layout of your house.  It will cost $1000 to renew. "  Neil had come out in 2002 when we had added on to our house so he would've been familiar with the layout, so I agreed.
The technician came out June 25, 2013, nice guy but not a little guy.  I left for work and left him to do his job, i.e. crawl under my house, do the inspection, treat with chemicals and leave the house the way he found it.  But it was not to be.
I get home to find out the technician "panicked", couldn't find his way out, kicked two areas out of my crawl space in an attempt to get out, since he couldn't locate the crawl space entrance.  So now I a damaged house with bricks laying about.  The tech called and left a message and my husband calls Neil to find out what he is going to do about it.  No return phone call.  I call - Neil's response "HAVE YOU EVER BEEN STUCK UNDER A HOUSE?"  No but I don't hold myself out as a termite inspection professional- that is what I am supposed to be paying YOU for.  Initially i really wasn't that upset, I figured they would make it good- not so fast......
Corporate office for Ehrlich is now involved (I started getting phone calls from them after I refused to pay my bill- after I explained why they apologized and got involved) The only time we hear from the local office is when corporate apparently prompts them to act.  All we have heard is excuses:  can't find a masonry repairman, no one wants the work, it's been raining, can't match the brick, etc.  I personally called the masonry contractor that did come out to provide an estimate to inquire why he had not returned to do the repair.  The contractor stated he turned in the estimate to Jones (Neil) but they NEVER RESPONDED!! The estimate has since lapsed.
Today is Sept 20, 2013 and the repairs have still not been done.  Close to 3 months this has been going on.  I have been told the repairs will be completed next week.  This remains to be seen.  I will never do business with this company again.  Apparently Craig Jones sold this company and is no longer in the picture.  Be warned. 

They were really great. The owner is Craig Jones. They did the pest control every quarter and I spent $60 a quarter. I used them for like eight or nine years. It is a local business. We have bugs and cockroaches, so people spray regularly for those. I liked that they are local. The gentleman who was responsive for servicing my house was there for years and I think that is a good sign about a company. When I first contacted them, I wanted to find out if we needed a whole house termite treatment and they told me that I didn’t. I admired that. He is an honest guy. I would rate them highly.

They come and do a good job. We have them every three months. We have a regular contract with them and we have had them for eight or ten years. They are punctual about their appointments. They are friendly and efficient. They are good with follow ups if we have problems. They are very thorough. They don’t mind doing little extra things for us when we need it done. We have used them for a long time. We would rate them highly and would continue to use them in the future.

We use them all the time. They are good, reliable and dependable. The treatments work.

They are excellent. I’m very happy with their service as I’m living down here in the land of bugs. I’ve signed up for an annual contract. It’s $85 for 3 months. They are very thorough. They pay attention to the tiling, the exterior as well as the interior of my house because my house is up on stilt. They have come out to service every bug I have seen which is a good thing. Down South, is a land of bugs and they are bigger than the others. They were recommended to me by a friend who has 2 houses here. She has a contract with another company as well as Jones Consulting & Pest Service and she said that Jones is far better than them. I would continue to use them in the future.
