Welcome to Coastal Homes and Sunrooms. My wife, Rose and I have proudly and faithfully have served our country in the United States Marine Corps for 10 years. Serving our country in the Marine Corp is what brought our family to the Lowcountry. We have been working in the low country for the past 20 years in the construction business. The Marine Corps helped established in us the discipline and integrity it took to start Coastal Homes and Sunrooms. We use that same discipline and integrity to build professionally designed and quality built homes and sunrooms. Our greatest desire is to serve you, our customer, with the highest standards in the industry and uses the greenest products!

My wife & I would highly recommend Wendell and his crew to do any work on your home, from stick build to any type of remodeling. We did a gut and remodel and Wendell was with us every step of the way. He has good ideas and insight into how things will work together but also listens to your ideas and puts them first. He kept us in the loop on timing as with supply chain issues this is especially challenging. Honest, Reliable, hardworking and just an all around decent guy about sums it up.

I hired CHS to do a couple of home remodel projects around 2012 and 2013. They were very professional and did excellent quality work for me. I was so pleased that when I decided to build a new house I hired CHS again and they did a tremendous job for me again! Wendell guided me through the planning process, offered excellent advice on balancing price against material (I have champagne taste but beer budget!). The people he hires and works with are just excellent. If I were building another home, I would not hesitate to call CHS again. Wendell himself is caring and involved. I am one very satisfied customer!

Thank you Wendell, Rose, Greg and the whole CHS team! We contracted CHS twice over the past 8 years. First was the expansion of our screen sunroom. The second was to enclosed the first expansion with casement windows and other amenities to become a four season living space. We are very pleased with the outcome of the project. The details and workmanship are topnotch and will provide us with many years of enjoyment. Job well done.

We are so happy with our screened room. Wendell had the vision for it and we absolutely love it. When we set out to add a screened room to our house we weren't sure how we were going to do it. Wendell looked at our house and came up with a great plan. Working with the team throughout the process was a pleasure. The customer service and communication is excellent. It is important to them that you are happy with the finished product.
One of our neighbors added a screened room onto their home and it looked amazing so I asked them who did it and it was CHS...that is why I chose them. The quality is consistent.
I highly recommend Coastal Homes & Sunrooms.

The solution used was too strong and ultimately killed or severely damaged mature landscaping. Admitted they were at fault. Then tried to replace with different shrubs which never took. Jimmy (owners son) assured us they would come back and replace any plantings in order to restore our property. Not only did they not do this, they do not even have the courtesy to return phone calls. So now we are left with over $1,000 worth of damage. We do NOT recommend this company. They are not reputable.

A room addition was added to the existing house. Concrete was poured one inch lower than the existing room making the
transition uneven, I had to call this to the attention of the foreman. The problem was not corrected by Coastal Homes & Sunrooms

Wonderful! Wendell and Dale were outstanding! Total control of each phase of work, total communication and excellent response time for any questions or concerns! Stick built to our specifications, with great suggestions from Wendell and each crew of experts, from the concrete guys to the framers to the painters. Excellent job, great to work with, great results.

After the contract was signed in May the work commence in July and finished in Oct. Every day was not a work day. And approximately 4 weeks of down time was due to the manufactoring of the hurricane glass upper windows. Overall the project went well, but the clean up at the end of the day's work could havae been better.

His name is Wendel Barns, and he was outstanding!. He was referred to me by a friend. I left him the keys to my home, and I never even met the guy! He never touched a thing, and left the place as clean as could be. He did what he promised, on schedule. We never had any arguments, and his price was about 30% lower than the next lowest
guy. A's across the board! I absolutely would use him again. I even called him later to repair the roof, but the insurance company took care of it.
