We used them in 2018 to build our dream home, and we could not be happier with that decision. They completed our new home with excellent quality and at a very fair price. Built an addition next to the garage to be used as a workshop, storage, etc. Built to withstand a hurricane. Would recommend for any home improvement project.

We contracted with Wendell Varnes of Coastal Homes and Sunrooms to build our home in 2019. We chose him because of his professionalism. The building phases were on time and he did an excellent job of problem solving the numerous changes we made to the plans. We appreciated his patience. He also assisted us in choosing items such as kitchen cabinets, flooring, design and screening of our side porch. We also contracted with him to install an outdoor patio which complimented our yard. Overall we felt he delivered a great product at a great price. I would recommend Wendell to anyone looking to either build or restore a home.

Wendell did an outstanding job designing the Sun Room. Discussed project with other builders and no one was able to come up with an acceptable design. Wendell put in the extra effort and really created a WOW room. We were pleased with all the work and have received numerous compliments on the workmanship and design.

Wendell was polite and thorough during the bidding process and Coastal employees completed the house painting and replaced some exterior siding on the house. Hosea and his crew were prompt, professional and responsive.

Wendell managed the job all the way through. Answered all questions about the product honestly !!! Listened and responded to our needs. Brian did the installation. A real craftsman. The smallest of details he took care of like extra caulking around the window frame. Vinyl windows are A-1. Had over 6 of rain right after the installation and no issues with leakage or dripping. Recommend CHS for any window or lanai work.

Trust the professional. I ve power washed and never have I gotten my house this clean.

Very positive experience working with this company from start to finish. Wendell understood my vision and made it happen. Everyone who worked on my room expansion were extremely competent and very neat. The project was completed on time, on budget and is just beautiful!

Wendell Varnes was amazing! He listened, brainstormed new ideas, worked within our price point, and the end result was far more beautiful than I even imagined! Everyone was polite, did a professional job, and cleaned up as if they had never been there! Further, Wendell was there frequently, checking on everything and responding to every question. Everyone who visits says how gorgeous it is, and how it totally changed our home! I would never use anyone else!

My sun room has not yet been aproved by the HOA so can only provide an interim rating.

Great experience. Wendell is awesome. Gave wonderful suggestions but also listened to what we wanted. We are thrilled with our sunroom. The crew is great. Cleaned up every evening and they do quality work.

We purchased a Lindal Cedar Sun-room from this business. The windows leaked from the beginning when we received our CO in March 2003. Coastal Homes and Sun-rooms came on two occasions to patch leaks, one occasion to replace a roof panel that shattered for no known reason and sent another person whom they did not directly employ to re-caulk every seam. Leaks continued and Coastal Homes and Sun-rooms stopped responding to our pleas to fix the leaks. Out of desperation, we hired a roofer. He lifted all Duracaps and re-sealed every point of glass to wood contact. The ceiling glass leaks stopped. The leaks at the eaves continued unabated. We learned that Lindal Cedar Homes and Sun-rooms, the manufacturer of the pre-cut sun-room, severed its relationship with Coastal Homes and Sun-rooms. Our ten-year warranty became void. After we complained bitterly to Lindal, they put us in contact with Triangle Cedar Homes, Raleigh, NC. Skip Bryan, the owner, came on several occasions, patched, and replaced components, most recently within the last month. He was sincere. He made a mess. He cleaned up. He mildly castigated the original builder over angled screws and incorrect screws. Contrary to the findings of the intervening roofer who came when we were desperate, Skip said that all the measurements and tolerances between glass frames and wood were correct. Now more than 15 years in this sun-room it continues to leak along the eaves down support posts into the knee wall under the vertical windows. We are thinking of demolishing this product.

Great work, but tight schedules, very professional!

Jimmy was great to work with and his crew did a very good job on carpentry and power washing as well as painting. Only fault I had was that they failed to follow up on correcting one small defect that Jimmy said they would take care of.

They responded promptly to my submission, provided a quote quickly and followed up to gauge my interest in selecting them. They scheduled for the following week, and arrived and completed the wok on schedule.

This company did an excellent job with my patio. They started when they said and finished on time. Good communication between Jimmy and his crew.
