Edwin spoke with me on the phone and told me to bring in my old computer and my new computer. When I showed up he accurately identified a small device that I needed for my new computer to be able to read from a thumb drive where some of my records were stored. Then he walked me through the steps I could do myself to transfer the records and my QuickBooks by myself. He suggested that I try it before I pay him to do the work. He walked me through the steps several times until I felt comfortable doing them when I returned home. Success!!!! Thank you for not making me spend $70 I did not need to spend. The cost of the USB C to A device was about $40 so that is what I am listing for the price for this service.

They tried with the computer but it was a product fail.  My wife does a lot of photography for clubs we belong to so we bought her a digital camera.  The experience there has been good and they have certainly tried to be accommodating, even when the computer deal didn’t go well.  I think touch screens are the wave of the future but I think they’re too new.  We’ve had pretty good luck at Staples.  They tried their very best.  If the product is defective and they take it back, that’s about as good as it’s going to get.
