Ragan Inc

We were very happy with it. They were very efficient. He comes out sometimes three or four times to see that everything is going to where it should be. He was very much on the job. I felt like he cares for his people.

The work was very shoddy and he used cheap materials. He becomes very argumentative when you ask about the work quality or point out things that need to be done and does not keep his word on the work that's agreed upon. We talked about the work before he did it and he went ahead and did whatever he wanted. He replaced the roof, reinforced the deck, destroyed screens and destroyed siding and replaced it with mismatched siding. He also installed railings with inferior wood products. I had a house inspector and a roof inspector look at the work and they had a lot of questions and complaints about the quality of the work. He always has a reason for not coming back to finish the work and make repairs. Update: 8.27.2013: Roof is leaking. This has become an emergency situation. It has leaked through two ceilings. We have complained to the service provider and he said it would be 8 days before he can come out here. He was argumentative and unprofessional. Update 1/14/2014: Had to take ragan inc. to court for leaking roof. Judgement was found against ragan inc in my favor(Robert Maupin) for $7800 due to workmanship on the roof not meeting manufacturers or aiken countys building codes for roofs. A water barrier must be placed under the roofing before laying shingles, a certain length up every edge of the roof to prevent leaking and water damage in the future however when the expert came and inspected it he saw that ragan inc had not achieved this and met the standard (code) for the roof.
