Lowe's of Aiken

This is a very condensed account. Measurements were taken for a wall oven and I was told by three employees or contractors of the store that the oven was on order or was being ordered. After waiting almost three weeks for delivery I called the store and was told by the store manager that there was no order. I called the Customer Care Line and sent a written report to the chain headquarters. Headquarters responded that the way they handle complaints is to forward them to the store manager. I asked in writing if it was OK to write the account in Angie's list or other places and got no reply, so I guess they don't care. As an employee of this store said, "And they wonder why people go to Home Depot". The only person I would recommend this store to is my brother-in-law.

Several contacts made. Total of 5 appointments. 2 appointments were no shows on part of technician. Of the 3 appointments that were kept each diagnosed a different cause for the problem. Each had to order a part. Couldn't do repair on initial visit. After over a month of back and forth I still have a dishwasher that leaks. I would never purchase an extended warranty from Lowes again. I have called a repair company that got an A on Angie's List. I will have to pay out of pocket, but I expect to have a functioning dishwasher again.

It went well and I am very pleased - on schedule and high quality, just a bit hard to get service in the store for questions @ times.

I was Impressed by the quality of work performed and the planning required to erect this fence. We had a 6 foot privacy fence (approx. 400 feet long) that traversed an awkward slope. Each post was an 8 foot 4and quot;x4and quot; (pressure treated) sunk two feet in the ground and set in concrete. the gate posts were 8 foot 4and quot;x6and quot;s. I thought they would install 8 foot panels, but found out that they manually installed each pickett with precision and made sure each panel was exactly level. There was a lot of old vegetation in the way that they also cleared and hauled away. The finished product was as beautiful as it was functional.
Al, the gentleman who quoted and organized the job, was great to work with and a genuinely friendly guy. He made sure everything went smoothly and checked up on us several times during the process, to make sure we were happy. We would highly recomend Al and his crew in the future.

I have a good experience when I go here. I will shop here again.

I use Lowe's because they stand behind their products. When it comes to appliances and repairs to the house, we use them because, if there is a problem, they will take care of it. When I use an independent, I really want to know if they are reliable. We know all about horror stories when it comes to building. You really need to look into things or you'll run into trouble. I have no complaints with Lowe's. When they put in my new dishwasher, it leaked right from the beginning. They put it in and then they took it right back out. Fortunately they had another one in stock and they came out and replaced it the same day. If I needed new windows, I would call them and ndash; they stand behind their work. When they replaced my door, I had a little problem with the weather stripping. Within a couple days, the guy that installed it came back out and fixed it. It wasn't entirely his fault because when you build a house, things aren't perfect. When the next guy comes in, he has to repair the job that wasn't done quite right in the first place. That's just the way everything is.

Decided that I was being taken advantage of and decided not to go with them. I was told at the quoted price that they were not making a dime on the windows. Really?

It went fine. They cleaned up well.
