Extremely professional. Pleased in every way. Estimate competed in a timely manner. Final cost was in accordance with the estimate. Work began on schedule. Workers arrived punctually every day and worked hard without unnecessary delays. Quality of work is very good and final results look fantastic. I intend to use Hitchcock Hardwoods again for another job in the future and I highly recommend them.

Hitchcock Hardwoods examined the floors, explained the process and gave a reasonable estimate. The floors are beautiful and retain their unique, historic beauty. We couldn't be more pleased. Thank you.

John and his assistant were professional, through and did an excellent job. John told me the work would be dustless as much as possible because of his HEPA vacuum system. I really didn't believe him and took it to mean less dust than normal. To our delight he was not exaggerating, the house was remarkably dust free and took little cleaning to get back to normal. This alone made it worth it!! His price was very competitive and he had no surprise add ons. HE arrived a week earlier than planned making us very happy.

They are doing a great job. Its got three different phases to it, so they're not done. We chose them for a second time because they do really good work and it's reasonable. I consider it reasonable because perfection is not cheap and I'm pretty picky.

They recommended no staining, which I am very happy I went with their recommendation.  Really like the look of the natural color.  I was originally considering staining the floor a darker color.  The materials they used are excellent.  I was slightly disappointed with the installation of the wooden treads on the staircase.  Some of them, particularly the first three have a visible gap between the wall and the tread.  Enough of a gap that pine straw can easily fall into the gap.  I mentioned it to them and they said to caulk it.  If you look online for advice on tread replacement, they say you should not need to caulk or add quarter round to hid gaps.
