AMITY ELECTRIC

Amity came out completed the work and said the knob and tube wiring was now safe. I faxed the invoice of their work to RISE who then rejected the validity of the work because they did not have Amity Electric's licensing information. I called Amity Electric several times for their licensing information but they would not give it to me over the phone. When I finally got in contact with Amity they said that they would need to come back to look at the work again because it had been been too long since the original work was completed. On the second visit, Amity said they missed some of the knob and tube wiring that needed to be secured and it would cost $2500 to fix the issue. I did not want to pay this amount when they stated the wiring was no longer hazardous after the first visit for only $97. They still refuse to provide me with the license number over so I can give it to RISE and have my home insulated.

Jeff never finished the job he was hired to do, he also never sent an invoice but tried to collect payment for work not done through a lawyer. He and his assistant scratched my new cabinets and floor. I had to hire another electrician to fix his shoddy work.

All of the work was done very well and Tim was very nice. He answered all of my other questions that I had on things I would like to do myself where possible. It took a while to figure out why one of the receptacles were not working, but he found it and corrected the problem. The track lighting fixture that we purchased just didn't look right and he suggested we might want to get something different (flexible track lighting is difficult to work with, just an FYI) or keep the posts up and try to flatten out the track for a longer period of time. Very helpful and on time. Will use again for all our electrical needs.
