I did not comparison shop for price on this job.  I did not qualify to have Next Step Living assist with improving the insulation, and  I was anxious to have it done quickly because I planned to have the house re-sided. 

This job was originally to be done in June.  I could not be present as I was attending a funeral out of state.  The insulation contractor called and left a message that because the shingles were so deteriorated, he would advise I not punch all these holes in the house until just before the siding was to be replaced, because otherwise I could wind up with water infiltration. I appreciated the caution (and the contractor's willingness to forgo payment).   When I finally got the siding contract lined up, it was November.  The contractor graciously made time to do my job just before Christmas so that I could be ready for the siding after the first of the year.  The house feels cozier and less drafty now.

Air seal was a joke, attic insulation was uneven, left debris in bushes from soffit vent intallation.  Air test seemed unrealistic.  However with rebate the price was unbeatable.  They did all the paperwork so that was a plus.

The crew arrived as scheduled. They were friendly and clearly stated how the work would be performed and what to expect. Drop clothes were used where needed. The crew worked steadily and they invited me to look at the work done in the attic. A RISE rep came by to check on the progress late in the day and said he was impressed with what he saw.
We couldn't have been more pleased. The free RISE home inspection is a tremendous opportunity to improve your home. Rise picks-up much of the cost for improving the energy efficiency of the house.  
We were very happy with the work done by New England Insulation. Based on our experience, their excellent reputation on Angie's List is well deserved.
  

Went very well.  Dennis (the owner) has been doing it for a long time.  He was very responsive and helpful throughout the process.  His crew was very professional and left a clean site.  Dennis was very helpful in navigating the National Grid Energy Wise rebate process.  He enjoys a stellar reputation with RISE Engineering.
He worked around my schedule, which was predicated on roofing and siding work.  All went well and I'd use them again.

I purchased a big deal from Angie's List and their services turned out good. They are very good to deal with. They were very accommodating to my schedule. Their teams were very personable and easy to deal with. Their price was very fair. Their quality was very good.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was perfect. I didn't spend any additional money. They cleaned up after themselves. I've used them before to do insulation at another house. They were great and I had no problems at all. They were easy to deal with. They came to the house to do a quick appraisal to know what they were getting into. It was a very easy service. The price was very good; I didn't compare it.

Showed up on time and  performed as expected.

We contacted the business because of an Angie's coupon special. The
owner called back within two hours of us leaving a voice mail. We
immediately scheduled an estimate for the next morning (which we had to
postpone by a day because of a snowstorm). The owner came promptly,
explained the work clearly, explained the pricing clearly. He was quite
courteous (which we have come to expect from Angie's referrals). We
booked an appointment to have the work done the following Monday. *Even
though there was a substantial snowstorm on Sunday night,* the crew
showed up promptly as scheduled, got in and out in a couple of hours,
were courteous and professional throughout.
I would definitely call this company again, and recommend them highly.

They were very professional and reasonably priced. They worked to get me the rebate that was being offered by National Grid and I was able to get that rebate. They were very easy to work with and I would recommend them.

Arrived 5 min early, but I was ready for them.  Whole process took just under 1 hour.  Covered area from front door to attic hatch with drop clothes and the cleanup by them was minor.  The team worked well together!  You could not even tell anyone one had been today to do any work on my house when they were finished.  Great job done in short time.

I have an older home and I need insulation in my attic and walls.  I called Dennis and he came over to give me an estimate.  He walked me through the process of blowing in cellulose insulation and guided me on deciding what is the most efficient and inexpensive way to insulate my home.  I had a few other companies give me estimates, but they were not only more expensive, but 
His crew showed up on time a few weeks later and went right to work.  We decided on insulating my attic now and insulating the walls in the spring/summer.  After about 15 minutes I could tell this was a very professional crew.  I've had a lot of work done on my home the past two years and these guys by far are the best Ive ever worked with.  They were courteous and made sure that they cleaned up their mess as they went along.  The job took about 4 hours and they insulated my attic pretty tight.  I was impressed at their work.  
I will definitely use them again, most likely in the spring/summer when I insulate the rest of my home.

I went through the RISE program, so only spent 1/4 of the cost on insulating my attic, but only learned about it by calling New England Insulation. 
They crew and foreman were great. They were on time, professional, communicated very well and cleaned up everything after they were done. I could not have asked for a better job!

The workers were on time, worked hard and cleaned up after the job was done. Only time will tell how effective the insulation will be, but the company performed well and a little above their contractual obligation.
