Jim Moon started Gutter Helmet of New England in 1993. Gutter Helmet quickly grew and homeowners began asking him to install other products. What started as a gutter protection company, quickly grew into one of New England's premiere home improvement companies, Moonworks Home Improvement. In addition to Gutter Helmet, Moonworks also provides high quality products including; Heated Helmet, Ice Defense, Dr. Energy Saver, and GAF Roofing.

The job was scheduled for 8/26 as agreed. The technicians arrived on time that day as promised to do the work. They were both pleasant and very professional about doing the job. They worked steadily throughout the day until the job was completed and cleaned up any debris that was left from the old gutter screens, etc. They readily answered any questions that I had, again explained the warranty for the product, and the end result looks excellent. We have not had any heavy rains as yet, but I am certain the product will perform as advertised. I am very satisfied with my experiences with this company and would recommend it to anyone interested in this type of work.

I contacted Gutter Helmet and referred me to Moonworks as the installer. I scheduled an appointment with their salesman Emil Iannucci and agreed to the work and price. Signed contract at end of April 2015. Mr. Iannucci stated about 4-8 weeks. After 8 weeks I tried to contact him via phone and email, no response, several attempts. I called Moonworks several times and finally got an installation date. They installed/repaired gutters, all but the electrical (hidden heat wire hook-up). I was told that the electrician would call me within two weeks to finish. I again, after two weeks called Moonworks and they could not get in touch with their service department, same as earlier. Waited for a call back. I received a call after they called me in error, looking for someone else! I was in the middle of writing a complaint letter to the BBB at that time and told them. They scheduled the electrician for July 23rd. On the 23rd a NO-SHOW! I called them and they had rescheduled for August 4th without the courtesy of a call telling me so. Finally, it was completed per the electrician on August 4th. It took from April 23rd to August 4th for a job that took one to two days. No communications between their departments, no return calls and expect to chase them via phone. They will call you for the end balance owed though, they had no problem with that. One more note, I can't test the work until a snowfall. I hope their work is better than their communication. I also complained to Gutter Helmet about their sub contractor. Gutter Helmet never contacted me about this.

This warranty exclusion is stated in the paperwork you received upon purchase. Our records show that your system was installed in March of 2006, and up until this recent occurrence, we have had no requests to service it. We hope that you were satisfied with our product while it was under warranty and could reconsider your negative outlook on Moonworks, as the issues you are now experiencing are more than likely due to the reinstallation by your roofer. After our meeting with him, we didn't hear anything until we called Emil ourselves and made the commitment. He drew up the papers, mentioned a price increase coming soon, and that we should sign the papers and get the deposit to him ASAP so we could 'lock' into the lower current price. We don't like to be pressured and weren't sure if it was gimmick to get us to buy quickly, so I called the main office in RI and they actually confirmed the price increase, which helped to calm our nerves a bit.
Then, we started to receive constant calls and emails from Emil pressuring us to give him the papers and our credit card information. I felt weird leaving my credit card information over the phone, as he suggested, so I called the main office again and took care of it all with them directly, making sure that Emil got the proper credit and didn't complain at all.
We knew it would be 6-8 weeks until the product was installed, so we were patient. Then about 2 weeks into the wait, I thought to call and see what the ETA was because we had travel plans coming up. They told me it would be happening in about a week or so. After this point, we had to call and get any information we could about time/exact date...they don't even call the day they are coming.
Although the product looks great so far, we weren't impressed with the communications we had with the company. We shall see with time if we ultimately have to never clean our gutters again!
