Daniel Smith

Description of Work: We contracted with Dan Smith to install a new set of stairs (interior) and railings/balusters. He installed the stairs, and I went over where I wanted the newall posts done on several occasions before and during the stair installation. He assured me several times that that was not a problem and that he could do the job, even laughing at me when I asked questions. When he was finished installing the stairs, he came back once to go over where the posts were supposed to go. He looked confused, was arrogant when I asked questions, said he'd let us know when he could do it. We never saw him again. We called several times and he didn't return our calls. It is our opinion that Mr. Smith went so far with the project, didn't know how to complete it, and left us hanging. I would NEVER hire him again or refer him to anyone. We paid him for the stairs only, but are left with no railings.
