Three years ago we had Joe put in a Flagstone Patio for us costing $18,000. Within a year it already needed mending. After the second year, the material in between the stones was all coming out and weeds were growing up. After hesitation and negotiation, Joe came out and redid the material in between the stones however, we helped pay for the material. He must have used a similar material as the first time because this year most of it is also out and there are weeds growing up. We contacted Joe, and he finally came out to take a look. He was trying to come up with every excuse he could, including rain, improper drainage, and trees to make it OUR problem. First of all, we live in Rhode Island where it rains and secondly, we had a 5 foot drainage trench put in a year ago and we no longer have any drainage problems. My husband was speaking to Joe, but Joe is a hothead and he got mad and stomped off. He did call my husband back a few minutes later and said he was sorry and that he would hire somebody to do the project and pay for it. He then told us a day later that it would cost us $750 in materials and he would pay for the labor. After spending $18,000 on a patio we found this ridiculous. We asked for a copy of all the materials he needed that added up to $750 and he kept saying he would send it but he never did. Now our only recourse is to take Joe to small claims court. When Joe does a project, it might look lovely after completion but if you have any problems, Joe will not stand behind his work! We would never recommend him to anyone.

Joe is a hard worker and is very thoughtful and considerate.  He seems like he will do almost anything associated with lawn work and snow plowing.  His prices are reasonable and his work can be depended on.  If not to your satisfaction , he will return and redo the work.
