Ocean State Tree Service came twice, first to remove a tree that fell on my home, and again to remove 3 more trees, including stump grinding. They answered my call immediately and came the next day to remove the fallen tree. All work was done professionally and efficiently. The crew had to access two trees from my neighbor's yard, and they were very careful to leave the yard as clean as it had been. My neighbor told me later that he appreciated the care they took. Everyone was very courteous and I would definitely use this service again.

One Saturday night, a fairly strong rain and wind storm partially broke off a moderately large limb high in a big, old maple tree in the corner of our back yard. We were afraid that the branch, in the next wind storm, would break off and land on either the back- or the side-neighbor's house. On Monday morning, I called Ocean State. The very nice receptionist had a worker look at the tree during his lunch break. She called me back and told me that a bucket truck would be needed and that the job would cost between $300 and $400, but that the workers thought that they might finish that day's work early enough to do our job. At the time, the weather forecast was for rain and high wind Mornday evening, but as the day wore on the forecast changed, saying that the storm would not arrive until Tuesday afternoon. The work already begun that day by the tree service took a little longer than the men had expected, but since the forecast had changed, the men did our job the first thing on Tuesday morning, still ahead of the storm. I had wondered at first if the company's price was too high, so, right after getting Ocean State's estimate, I had called another company, one which had received all A's on Angie's List. Their schedule was full, so that they couldn't get to our job until a day or two later, but the receptionist was kind enough to tell me that she thought that the estimate was about right for that kind of bucket-truck job. One reason that I, to begin with, had called Ocean State is that our neighbor had very recently hired that company to remove several big, old trees and some high, thick brush from her property and seemed very happy with them. I know that they were very professional then, because , in taking down one of the neighbor's trees, they had caused a small (6"?) crack in our shed. We did not even notice it until we read the note they had left telling us about it and telling us whom to contact in order to receive the repair or replacement cost. The company paid us as soon as we sent a copy of the invoice.. The company also left the neighbor's yard looking very neat and nice.

The crew that removed the dead tree were great. The tree they removed was a very large Spruce with an incredible amount of branches. It was done quickly and the clean-up was excellent. A second crew came to grind the stump and that experience was not as good. I was not home at the time but there were long patches of my lawn dug up and just left that way. I requested the shaving be removed but instead were spread around the area. I would have given all "A"s but I was very disappointed in the second crew that ground the stump.

THEY WERE GOOD TO WORK WITH. WE HAD A LITTLE BIT OF A PROBLEM WITH THE WORK BEING DONE WHEN WE WANTED IT. SOME OF THAT WAS DUE TO THE WEATHER. OVERALL, THEY WERE PLEASANT TO WORK WITH.

THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB AND MADE IT EASIER FOR ME TO RECUPERATE FROM THE STORM. THEY CAME TO OUR HOUSE SOON AFTER THE STORM TO HELP US. THEY HAD VERY REASONABLE PRICES FOR THE TYPE OF WORK THEY HAD TO DO.
