Tom - who, from a landscape design / install perspective. was great from day one. He has made several visits back and followed up to ensure we understood how to get I touch with him personally, communicate any concerns and feel comfortable that he would personally follow up. We appreciate his efforts to ensure our satisfaction.

As it relates to landscape design, overall the install team did a good job...there were some challenges, but most items were fixed to our satisfaction. Unfortunately, the quality of the construction work performed was fair at best. Communication was poor, there were alot of corrections required, and the lack of response made the project very stressful and stretch out several weeks. Overall, we were very excited about the design but unfortunately, the project was stressful, filled with compromised results and delayed responses.

We found him very patient and provided service with a great attention to detail. We have been very satisfied. He is terrific and we have recommended him to others.

After one year the patio sank 2 to 3" by the stairs .The shed below the patio flooded ou after a rain. Contacted them and they came to look at it. Never heard from they again. Contacted the BBB  nothing happed Got another contractor and he rip the whole patio. Under the foundation was a 13" gap. Total replacement cost 35,000. Send photos to BBB and after 2 years got a letter from BBB that Yard works said it was resolved.

Great job.  They are responsive when I call them back to make minor adjustments.

Service person came out and fiddled with some things and said there wasnt a leak. He said it was probably just extra water in the pipes emptying out after the water was turned off. When my husband came home he checked and noticed a very obvious leak that still wasn't fixed. I called the company the next morning to complain and they very promptly sent another technician out who fixed the leak at no extra charge. Not sure why there is inconsistency in their service personnel, but we will probably try them again (keeping a closer eye on what they are doing while here).

I am getting rather furious with them. It has been 3 or more years that we have been contacting them about very poor rhododendrons they placed in our home on the outside. They looked anemic from day one and they have not replaced them even to this day. Kevin, the owner, is unreachable. We spent a few thousand dollars with them. They did a very good design and they had some good ideas but when it has come to those plants, they just won't replace them. We've tried this year and last year to ask them to please replace them. We have spoken to Jan and she is very nice and will talk to us but there is no response from Kevin even though he says he will call back. Twice a season every year we call him. It is very poor service. We are very disappointed in them. Their prices were reasonable for what they did.

It was done in 2 days and high quality equipment was used. They plan to return for more instruction in the spring and wienterized it after installation and testing.

The project went horrendously. They were slow to start and unprofessional in their responses to our concerns. They would make appointments and then not show and without the courtesy of a phone call. The red brick was laid down haphazardly, and seemingly without much care. Instead of turning over a brick that was dis-colored on one side, they would install it. Now we have many black/gray bricks in the walkway. The Blue-Stone they used to cap the steps was very poor quality with iron stains and other defects. They left cement spots on the stone from the grouting. One of the Holly bushes they installed toppled over!. We had to contact the Rhode Island Contractors board in an attempt to get some satisfaction. They forced Yard Works to come out and make minimal repairs to the obvious deficiencies. Please if anyone is reading this report do yourself a favor and hire ANY Other company.

This wasn't a very good experience for us. The masonry work done was phenomenal and awesome. What I did feel is that the owner had contracted too many jobs and kept pulling the men off my job and have them do work some place else. It was estimated that the job would take about 8 weeks but turned out to be 14 weeks. The plans that the supervisor drew up were what we wanted and liked. He told us that he would use the rocks and stones that he graded from our property to build the wall. As it turned out, he brought in two truck loads of stone to use and then was going to charge us to haul away the stones that he bulldozed from our yard. He charged us extra to bulldoze the yard to remove the stones that he said he would use. There was a fire pit in the design that we had chosen, but when it was built, it turned out to be entirely different from the plan. On the receipt, it was written that fire pit was okayed by my wife. She had talked to the supervisor about the fire pit not being as planned and stated that she liked it. He was going to charge us for it but we argued him out of that. The trees and shrubs that were planted are not doing so well. I had requested information on them, like their names and how to care for them. I never received that information as promised. It was very hard to get in contact with the supervisor by phone or visits to the office. The messages that we left at the office were not given to him or he chose to ignore them. The only way we did contact him is by accidentally running into him at the office.

Excellent job. Friendly, helpful, professional and responsive. Installation went without a hitch and can reach one of the owners at any time w/ any question or concern we might have via his cell phone.

After 2 years the blue stone became loose and buckled. Minor repairs were made. Last year 2007 I attempted to contact them in April to complain that the blue stone has became loose around the base of the states and was not draining to the back and was pooling up. The wall deteriorated badly and stone have fallen out. On June 5th a Representative inspected my claims. I called the several times and they never returned my calls. I filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau Providence office in December and no action was taken. I filed another claim with the Boston BBB indicating the pooled water now was flooding a shed below the patio. I have not heard from Yard Works or the Boston BBB.

It went well overall, the job wasn't very difficult. Everything was completed within a day.

The owners were professional and had an artistic eye. The crew who created the stone wall and bluestone walkway were true artisans. They modified the original plan appropriately when needed, they were always courteous and thoughtful. They clearly cared about their work. The landscaping crew were unfortunately not as skilled. The quality/health of the plantings were only average; some have already died. They were expensive. Get everything in writing; verbal quotes for changes/additions never matched the final bill. Because they had many simultaneous projects, there were delays between phases, and the project manager and owners were unavailable during the project. Phone calls were never returned.

Yard Works was very creative, they designed a pattern for our yard and brought it to us for approval. This was a well designed display but it was over our budget so to keep the same layout and keep within our budget. Yard Works Inc. changed some of the shrubbery plants to adjust the cost.

THE COMPANY DIDN'T DO THE JOB TO MY SATISFACTION. THEY SPLATTERED CEMENT ON MY HOME AND SAID IT WOULD BE CLEANED UP WHEN THEY WERE DONE WITH THE JOB. IT NEVER WAS. THE END RESULT LOOKED OKAY. THEY JUST WEREN'T VERY PROFESSIONAL.

THEY ARE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO DISTURB OUR GRAPE VINES IN THE BACKYARD. THEY WILL TRIM THE VINES IF I ASK THEM TO FOR NO CHARGE. THEY ARE THE BEST LAWN SERVICE I HAVE EVER USED BECAUSE THEY SEEM TO CARE HOW THE LAWN LOOKS.

THEY WERE A VERY GOOD COMPANY AND HAD A VERY GOOD REPUTATION. I LIKED THE PEOPLE WHO INSTALLED THE SYSTEM FOR US. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND I RECOMMEND THEM.
