It is pretty far but I take my car there because he is so good. He is technically good and honest. If I find anything more complicated than an oil change I run it up to him. His parents were school teachers and he is like a school teacher. He loves to take me back and show me what he did and why he did it. He is definitely the best mechanic in New England. He only uses the best oil filters and there is a difference. I always get my oil changed with him if I am up there. They are the best garage in New England. He is not any cheaper than anybody else but he saves me money by recognizing problems before they become very expensive and by being very honest. One time he told me I need a new brake caliper. I told him to put it in and when I came back he said he had managed to lubricate it so it was opening again so I didn't need it. I had already authorized him to do that job and he realized that he didn't need to so he didn't charge me for it. He is technically excellent and morally honest. He is a great communicator. I understand what he has done and why he has done it. Don actually prices the work on how long it will take him to do it and he actually tends to get it done sooner than the book says so as a result his prices are usually less than the book states. I can drop in for an oil change. He gets the work done when he says he will. I will keep going to him.
