I held off writing a review because he asked me to leave him a good review and I could not, so I opted to leave no review. But I am having continuous problems with boards lifting off the deck because of poor screw placement. I have already discussed this with him and he blames the deck frame because it wasn't perfectly straight. So that is his excuse for not hitting wood when screwing down the deck boards. But had he installed one board at a time instead of laying down 6 or 7 at a time, he would not have had to guess where the frame was. So now I have boards lifting and bowing because there are many places where the screws hit nothing. He has informed me that my complaint was illegitimate and I was too picky. He claims he's built hundreds of decks and never had a complaint. Well, I guess he's just gotten sloppy. He didn't show up for the first week of the job, so I tried to cancel and get my refund. His wife, Denise, asked me to please give him another chance and that he would be there. I regret giving him that second chance. He finally showed up and rushed through it the second week and this is the result. I now have to replace the bowed boards in the spring. I really don't see how expecting screws to hit wood, and cutting straight lines is being PICKY! Not to mention that he has told me that I am rude and impossible to deal with. That may be the case when it comes to contractors who do terrible work for $8300. I am livid about having to redo his work at the price that he charged me. I'm sure he'll rebut and say that I just like to harass contractors, but I expect the people I hire to know what they are doing, or to just even care about the quality of their work, and this doesn't seem to be the case with a lot of contractors, and especially this guy. He kept informing me that he was making good money on my job, but it appears that he gave me his worst for it. Maybe the guy just didn't like me because I'm PICKY or he was having other issues that I'm unaware of, but what I got from him was not acceptable and I would not recommend him.

Very pleased with all the work Shoreline Home Services did for me, especially the installation of a new door and fixing my leaking windows. They were fast, efficient and knowledgeable. A pleasure to work with.

We hired Duke to demo and rebuild our porch, a project he assured us would take a week from start to finish. We were happy to hire him to do the work, as he told us he had a lot of experience working with insurance jobs; a tree fell on our porch, so it needed some work, and we decided to go ahead and have it completely redone. Duke and Denise were very attentive and efficient in the beginning, but once we paid them the down payment, things slowed down quite a bit. There were many days when Duke said he would be over to work, and we had to call halfway through the day to see if he was still coming; there was one week straight when no work was done, and the porch was left on supports with only part of the flooring down. It was unfortunate that our experience turned sour, and by the time almost 8 weeks passed, we were happy to pay them and have it all behind us. That being said, after we handed in the final check, Duke never came back to clean up and finish caulking, and we never heard from them. I might recommend the company for smaller projects that could be done in a day or two, but would advise against hiring for big projects like ours.

Shoreline is one of the best companies that I have used. Duke and denise did a fabulous job. They were recommended to me by another satisfied customer. Very thorough cost efficient work. I am very pleased with the job. There were no surprises at all. Which is unusual for me.

Shoreline homes was great to work with! We worked with Duke on a couple of different projects. He installed a sliding door for us, which was installed well! The main project was removing this faux patio and columns that rotted out in front of our home and presented to be a hazard. He removed the columns and patio in a day and weather sealed it until the materials came in for the next project. To add more appeal to the house he built a metal awning and did a board and batten door surround that gave my house the modern feel we were going for. Through the project we were constantly communicating and I was able to share pictures of what I was envisioning. Overall, I enjoyed that experience. He is priced a little higher but competitive for todayâ s market but certainly had great quality in his work! He wonâ t stop perfecting it until you absolutely love it and I love that! He cleaned the project site well! This is your sign to hire him!

Duke was great with communication, very nice, and efficient. He helped us build a deck platform to hold our motorcycle. He came when he said he would and got the job done in a day. Highly recommend.

Duke and Manny did a very professional job from start to finish! The worksite was picked up everyday and left neat. I would definitely call Shoreline Home Services for and new projects that may come along THANK YOU DUKE AND MANNY!!

I am so happy and relieved with the services from Shoreline Home Services, LLC. Itâ s always nerve wracking when you have to choose a company to do the work needed in your home and Shoreline made the process easy. Very dependable, professional and I would definitely hire Shoreline again! Thank you again for all your hard work!!

I hired Duke in Dec and signed a contract for 16-21 Dec to have the job completed. It was to install white vinyl railings on my front steps. He took a 1000 dollar deposit. One week after 21 Dec I called and was told by the secretary that she would call me (never said when) when he could start the job. There were personal problems and he was in the middle of a siding job. Two weeks later I called Duke on a Friday and he said the job would be completed by the next Friday. We are now 3 weeks past that date. He had no problem taking the money, but he seems to have problems getting the job done. At this point I have no faith or confidence in his ability to get the job done. I want my money back. Angi recommended him. I do not want to talk to Duke, as he only says something to satisfy me and never follows through.

Very pleasant and knowledgeable. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again. Came to do an estimate, and did the job the same day!

Duke was great to work with. Honest and upfront and also very knowledgeable. Great price and quality work. Will definitely call him for all of my projects!
