Since 1976, we service all types of drainage problems such as sump pumps/French drains, etc. We install and repair sewer lines and water lines. We clean catch basins and we camera and locate lines. We service blocked lines of most sizes, Kitchen, Bath and Main lines. We have been in business for 47 years and are third generation family owned business. They had to dig out and replace a section of the cast iron drain out through the fieldstone foundation of my house and added an exterior access clean-out. They came on time, were courteous, did a fine job, and cleaned up afterwards. They also charged me less than the estimate! I was very pleased... I couldn’t 't ask for better.

The pipe was unclogged - about 10 feet down. Good. However, they noticed some issues with the drain stopper but didn't recommend anything to fix it - I was prepared to pay for that too. Overall the job was done well, but I thought it was expensive for the time spent.

"People now a days don't know how the cost of operating has increased. My workers comp costs have quadrupled, liability insurance is more than twice what we paid several years ago. It is not because we had claims, we are paying for the wildfires and floods in the rest of the country. The parts we have to pay are just rising and rising because of the wars in the Middle East."

About 2 months ago we had the techs from Diffley Drain Service out. At that time they ran a snake through the drain and pulled out a small root 75 feet down the line which at the time seemed to clear the backup which was manifesting itself in our basement utility sink. Thirty-three days later the problem manifested itself again and to their credit even though it was three days over the warranty period they came back out without any fuss. They snaked the drain again this time going out 105 feet without clearing anything. Now here is where things get a bit dodgy, rather than add a 2nd reel of cable onto the snake (or really even mentioning it) to enable them to snake further the tech tells my wife that they will need to install an external access point in the yard so they can snake further down the line and that will cost $3000. We say we'll think about it and explore other options. Once we watched some videos and educated ourselves about the matter we ended up hiring a different drain service. The new company we hired used 2 spools of snake to be able to go further down the line and cleared a bunch of roots 140 feet down the line. BUYER BEWARE with Diffley Drain Service they seem to only give you part of the story in order to seem credible. I will say that Diffley comes quickly and promptly which when you have sewer backup issues is a positive and they are initially reasonably priced but educate yourself about your problem or you will get taken advantage of.

The best customer service I have ever experienced. Dennis and his team were completely professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that the job was done in the best way possible. They arrived to my basement that was actively flooding and worked until they got the job done. I would recommend them to anyone who is in need of water drainage.

The biggest thing was they charge a lot and they did not clean the mess up afterwards they wanted me to hire a different company

Dennis came by promptly and gave an estimate on price and on when the work would be done. They were able to get the job done a week early (because parts for the drain channel came in on time and they has a space in their schedule). The team (led by Dennis' son) came on the day specified and on time and worked steadily until it was done (and done correctly). They swept up the footprints (rock dust and cement dust and whatever) tracked between the basement door and garage door. They even set up the dehumidifier I bought so it drains into the sealed sump directly. The installation meets the buyer's requirements and looks nice. It's definitely an upgrade for the basement space. Carol (the owner and Dennis' mom) and her office team were also a pleasure to work with on this basement waterproofing job. Since the office was less than 2 miles away from our home and time was short, I went there to execute the contract and place the deposit (rather than waiting for the postal service). You can contract and schedule remotely (via phone, mail, etc.) but then you wouldn't have the pleasure of meeting a team that loves their business and wants to do right by the customers.

Work on project was sporadic and employees did not stick to schedule promised. After 5 months, the basement continues to flood whenever it rains because the connection was not installed properly. Employees come for repairs and do not know what to do. Never again.

"We were called there to connect property to the city sewer system. The work we did was done properly and no problems occurred regarding the actual work done. [Member Name Removed] seems to have a high water table and water is finding its way through the foundation. We have been back several times. We re-dug the job to look for cracks in the foundation and to make sure everything on the outside was properly sealed and it was. We went back again to reseal the opening where the pipe enters the building but the water was able to penetrate sealant. Part of the problem appears to be the slope of the land which sends water towards his building when it rains and puts enormous pressure against foundation. We were going to run a french drain to re direct water but customer did not want his cement walkway disturbed. It has been several months because we had difficulty scheduling with homeowners' availability to be there and our schedule. This week we are going back to try a new sealant and further assess his problem. The sewer line that we installed there works properly. There is no problem with that work. The problem is with the ground water seeping through the wall which we will address this week."

Awesome service! I called Diffley's to request service and plumber Justin arrived within 1 hour. It was not an easy job and he had to add another length of snake to reach the dry pack blockage. Job was done in 3 hours including Justin cleaning up the area after he was done. Justin was very courteous, professional and friendly. The work was done at a reasonable price as well! I would definitely recommend Dennis Diffley & Sons

The guys from Dennis Diffley assessed the cause of the issue right away, went above and beyond in helping me locate where the plumbing clean out was located (I purchased my home with a finished basement), and educated me through every step of the process to help me prevent the problem for the future. Given how they needed to snake through the main line of the plumbing, they worked about as quickly as could be expected, and cleaned up after themselves. Their price came in a couple hundred dollars less than a larger competitor. These guys were great!

They came, accurately diagnosed the problem, did what was needed to rectify the problem, and discussed with me what could be done to prevent the problem in the future. They visually examined our drains and made additional recommendations to minimize problems in the future.

Great. They were on time and vacuumed the chemicals out that didn't unclog the drain. Then they opened the pipe below the disposal and snaked down to the clog in a pipe in the basement. They took the extra step to snake again with a larger gage snake to open up the pipe as much as possible from the basement so they wouldn't have to come back in a few months. They explained how to prevent clogs and how my pipe configuration was prone to clogging due to things like 90 degree angles. Jon and the guy he came with (sorry I forget his name) were friendly and professional- overall great to work with. The whole thing was done in 90 minutes and that includes taking the extra step to snake a second time from a basement access to the pipe and to clean-up. The service was also faster and less expensive than the last time when I used a larger company to do the same thing.
