Christian Brothers Hardwood Floors

Christian Brothers is the best! They took great care of our almost 50-year-old hardwood floors and made them look better than new.

After the initial inspection and pricing we contracted with Bruce via phone. They were wonderful, experienced, professional, on time, and made this project as seamless as anyone could have. Would recommend using them without concern. You would be in very good hands.

I couldn't be more pleased with the excellent job done by Christian Brothers. The floors are gorgeous. I chose Christian Brothers because of excellent Angie's List reviews and also because they refinished a local church's floors. The very knowledgeable & friendly Bruce Donahue did the initial consult. I wanted him to use Poly Whey, which is a low VOC, no smell product, instead of the usual water or oil-based poly. He was very open to trying this, and even told me the hardware store where I could find some to check it out. And I was delighted that not only was the satin finish gorgeous, there was no smell from the PolyWhey when they were finished, unlike previous smelly experiences with urethanes. The workers did an absolutely fantastic, professional, amazing job including detailed sanding around the steam radiators. His lovely son Brian called me regularly with progress reports, which I really appreciated. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the work. Also, he had some cracked oak floor planks beautifully replaced. My floors look gorgeous and I know I will enjoy them for years. The only little issue was that when the workers pulled down the protective plastic sheeting they had blue-taped around the kitchen, several inches of ceiling paint came off with it. But, since I am planning to re-paint all the interior anyway, this is not a big deal. I recommend Christian Brothers wholeheartedly!

I was pleased to find someone who would repair areas of the floor without requiring the entire room be re-finished. It wasn't practical for many reasons for us to re-do 2 entire rooms. Bruce and his crew were able to match exactly the color of the finish in the living room, and the other room, where the boards were badly damaged, they repaired them easily and quickly (matching the finish was not an issue in this room). Not only this, but they worked to the schedule I requested, which was a big factor for us. The whole job took much less time than I thought, and there was very little dust.

After calling for an estimate on a hardwood refinish job for our entire main floor, they sent somebody out the next day to measure. They were able to start the job later that week, and finished after the long weekend. All in all, within two weeks of first calling, the job was completed and the floor was dried. Other companies weren't even able to start working during that time frame. The work itself was excellent - we are very pleased with the result.

The job went great...... we were  hampered with horrible weather and they still showed up on time and went right to work. The job was done quickly, and came out perfectly. The crew was clean and kept the work areas isolated from the rest of the house so the dust and debris didn't make its way out of the area. Bruce (owner) arrived periodically throughout the job to ensure everything went the way I wanted. He also did a final inspect before the crew left at the conclusion of the job. I would recommend Christian Bros. to anyone!!! Great experience!!!!!! 

Wonderful! Beautiful pre-finished Bruce hardwood floor, cherry color installed. There were some challenges with the subfloor but Christian Brothers knew what they were doing and it came out perfect. Everything was left cleaned up and all the workers were very courteous and professional. I would hire them again.

The floor had not been refinished in years and badly needed it. After sanding the floor and applying 3 coats of poly, it looked like new. The job was done professionally with no problems. I would highly recommend this company.

Very prompt and perfomed excellent work.  They performed with the upmost due diligence on every detail both big and small.  I could tell they put in alot of extra work and the detail in the work is phenomenal.  The service technicians were very friendly and easy to work with.
