Manuel is a nice old fellow (whose English is just barely good enough to get by) who we found after much calling around. I think he's about 65 and has been doing masonry all his life--the quality shows! The project was to remove the old and rotting front steps and replace them with brick ones. In addition to demolition, this job also included some heavy-duty concrete jack-hammering, waste removal, concrete pouring, and bricklaying. The job was completed on time and the finished steps look great. He paid careful attention to detail. While we did manage to haggle on the initial cost up front, it turned out that a few extra issues arose during construction, so the final cost was pretty much what he estimated (and we tipped him a little extra for the fine work).
Description of Work: We had a really difficult time locating a mason to create some brick front steps to our house. We eventually found Mr Morato and we were very pleased that we did--his workmanship was excellent.
